This was an amazing experience we had in this hotel. Everything spotless, staff members very helpful and smiling all the time. Room spaciois, bed very comfortable, bathroom amazing. Location great, got off our shinkanzen train, the hotel is on the ground floor of the station (in Japan 1F); just follow Kintetsu line signs. Should we return back, this hotel will be our choice, cannot recommend more. All hotel rooms face the platforms, we were at the shinkansen platform and for me as a train enthusiast I could not wish for more. Although rooms are facing the platforms, you do not hear anything at all.

For being the first time traveling to Kyoto I was extremely happy in staying here. Staff extremely helpful, convenient transportation is everywhere in the area and great starting point if you want to walk around town. Plenty of food and shopping areas. Hotel is wedged in alongside train tracks. You actually access it from inside the station itself. It also connects to subway system underneath station. You need the subway because attractions around Kyoto are spread out. Lots of dining options in the station concourse. Reasonable cost and convenient.

Located actually inside of the train station, you couldn't want for better conveniences and so quiet, you'd never guess that there were trains & thousands of people passing by! Very convenient as the entrance is inside kintetsu Kyoto Station, just down the escalator beside the shinkansen. Nice lobby and coin lockers in lobby. Lots of options for shopping and dining. Kyoto Station is huge!

Amazing location inside the train station. My room was on the fourth floor and could barely notice the Shinkansen trains passing my window on tracks across from me. One amenity missing in the bathroom was body lotion. In 3 out of 4 hotels in Kansai area that I stayed in there was no lotion. Hence, bring lotion to Japan. In the western hotels like this one, you find plenty of shampoo, hair conditioners, body wash, toothpaste and brushes, razors and hair brushes in the bathrooms, but no lotion. Also there are pajamas, so you can pack light. The breakfast tends to offer more Japanese choices than western, but enough basic foods, no extravagant omelet stations or options like oatmeal.
