It could be better!

I wasn't expecting luxury but I did expect better, there's a smell as soon as you go near the lobby, the elevator is outdated, the buttons don't light up nor does the indication lights. The TV didn't work even when someone came to fix it we still couldn't use it. The bed is very uncomfortable and could use a topper, definitely need better pillows. A good overall renovation wouldn't hurt.

Worst hotel of them all

So, we are arrived to this place around 9 pm. First thing that we noticed was that the sliding door had seen better days, they slammed open in a nanosecond which was not pleasent. We noticed that the lobby was pretty runned down and dirty. Elevators weren't amazing either, half of the buttons did not work and side panels were almost off the walls. We were honestly thinking about the elevator falling down because all the noices and everything. We are not even in the worst part of the stay;)) When we got to the third floor where our room was located in, we noticed that all the doors were in nasty shape. Some were open and nobody inside and the locks were so bad. When we got to our room the carpet felt super dirty and musty. The whole floor was carpeted. The beds were actually pretty comfy but it didn't last for long. We didn't know that this hotel had a name that was known in Texarkana, we learned the name after we had left the hotel. The name was BEDBUGS CENTRAL!! We found three bedbugs from one of the queen size beds and we left the place immidiatly. This hotel need proper renevations and pest control measures ASAP or needs to be taken down. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL, BEDBUGS CENTRAL!!!

The pictures of the hotel make it seem so much nicer than it actually is. I first noticed a slight smell. No big deal. One elevator is broken and the other one is janky. Okay, cool. The room wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst at first, so I thought, I’ll just deal with it. Got up to go to the bathroom and noticed a small roach. And then another one. And then another one. And another one. Not only was I deceived by the pictures on the website of the hotel, there were also roaches. I did “check in” at 3:00. I dropped our stuff off and left. Didn’t come back until 9:30ish. The kids swam until 10. We went to the room and crawled into bed about 11. I got up to use the bathroom about 1ish and that’s when I noticed them. I grabbed my kids and left. The front desk would not offer me a refund since I “had been there 10 hours and didn’t notice anything” and “because I contacted hotels.com first before I contacted them at the front desk”. They offered to move me rooms, but my skin was already crawling by that point.

The hotel is old and slightly worn down. There was also no ice machines that I could find and that was a real bummer. However, the staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and the rate was very cheap. I felt mostly safe staying here for one night with my children.

Never staying again

Cockroach was found in the hotel and manager refused to issue refund due to staying but the roach was found when packing up to leave in the morning don’t stay here building smells like smoke and mold , WiFi slow , elevators dirty and seems like they will breakdown at any moment

Upset

There was construction around the only entrance to hotel we drove around for 30 mins trying to find an entrance finally i saw a pick up truck edging his way out of construction entrance so i thought i would try and get thru it also which i did slowly. When we finally got to the lobby i told the girl that we had a hard time getting in. It was very hot in the lobby and no air in elevator and we where on the 5th floor . I told them when i checked out that they need to at least put somekind of sign up to help people get in here. The lady told me that wasn't their property and i understand that but i told her they could of leadt put sone kind up somewhere out there. Breakfast was another story. The meat taste like rubber and i don't know what the gravy was, no orange juice no salt just pepper. I couldn't eat any of it so i finally made me a waffle. I understand the breakfast was simple but at least make it so normal people can eat it. Our room was nice and the beds where comfort. I know now when i travel that way i will not be staying there again
