HG Cozy Hotel No.26 (大阪)

5 mins walk to Kuromon market. 7 mins walk to nearest metro. Taxi to Namba is about 7 mins and about 800 yen. Apartment was a bit small but guess that is normal for the area. More fitting for 2 people, 3 is ok, 4 is a bit tight. There was a stove but no plates and bowls so difficult to really cook. Wifi did not really charge properly, so not reliable, thankfully we had our own. They offer two types of check in, either at their office in Namba or self check in at apartment for which your passport needs to be sent first. Took us a bit of trouble trying to find the building and get the lock ourselves, but we got there. Not really any parking nearby. Bathroom had a air dryer for clothes so that was handy.

Room was very clean and relatively new. Space is adequate, we were a group of 3. Location is a reasonable 10 mins walk to Namba and Dotonbori (the city center) with the advantage that it is less crowded and less noisy. Only downside is there was not enough cutlery. Just 4 very small 5 diameter plates. Requested for bowls and plates as we were staying for 10 days but was declined. Overall, price was still worth it

WiFi was provided by a pocket WiFi which had a monthly limit of 7GB of high speed internet. I checked in on the 28th of the month, and the previously guests had used up all 7GB of the high speed internet. Therefore, I got only 500MB of high speed internet each day, then the speed dropped down to 128kbps for the rest of the day till it’s reset at midnight.
