Terrible but you can't expect much for the price. It is the cheapest option in the center, but this come with the cost of not having a great night of sleep due to many people coming in and out and talking. The English of staff is limited and no support at all if you need something. Anyway, the experience is not good but that's what I paid. If you want to go cheap, that's the place. But be aware of the cons.

We have some experience with hostels and we have set expectations (as a family) but Campbell Inn surprised us a bit. Location was great, price is very good based on all overpriced places in Singapore. However lower price in this case case comes with extras... It didn't take us a long time to notice mice and cockroaches crawling all over the kitchen. Then some crawled over me in bed too. The place is infested full stop. Sorry but I cannot recommend this place unless you are ready for these extras. Definitely not for families.

I want to warn all travelers: avoid the Campbell Inn - Hostel at all costs. This place isn't a place to stay; it's a nightmare, a dangerous, unsanitary, and inhumane place. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by cockroaches. The place is the dirtiest I've ever visited in my life: bedbugs infest the mattresses, the toilets are disgusting, and the general hygiene is deplorable. The lights stay on all night, people yell on their phones, there are no rules, no respect for sleep. They're slum landlords, there only to collect money without providing the bare minimum. But the worst happened the morning of my complaint. When I went to reception to report the conditions of my stay, I was violently assaulted by the staff: a woman hit me with a stick and threw several soda cans at me. Two other staff members did the same. I was the victim of a three-on-one assault, completely unprovoked, when all I did was ask for an explanation. Following this, I had to go to the police to file a complaint. Added to all this are the racist and insulting comments I was subjected to. I provided irrefutable evidence (screenshots, photos, new reservation) to Expedia, which could only offer me $20 in compensation, refusing any refund under the pretext of hotel rules. It's shameful. I personally confirm that all the negative reviews left for this hostel are real. What you can read on other platforms is accurate. I am living proof of this, unfortunately.
