Very Mixed Feelings about this place Brand new resort, however it lacks big time in its management.. Food was below average. Logistics still needs time it seems or reform. Don’t get me wrong would love to come back once these small minor but crucial problems are solved. It has. The potential to be the best hotel around.

Truly there are no surprises as advertised this is a luxurious five-star living up to five star standards! The staff members wete remarkable and catered to our every need! Our room--- well what can I say, absolutely breathless View! Security at the hotel is well staff, however we never felt so free in this Lovely Hotel and beachfront resort! Thank you Hotel Verde management for making our honeymoon stay the best ever on Zanzibar Island!

Excellent hotel, pathetic breakfast

The hotel itself is amazing. However the breakfast is seriously disappointing! The breakfast menu and selection needs a complete overhaul. The ‘chefs’ have a terrible attitude and honestly, have no clue how to make an omelette or fried egg

We were robbed in this hotel

The place with terrible security! We were robbed there. Someone illegally entered our room during our visit to marina, opened safe box and changed 1000 usd from wallet with fake money. Once we found it and asked management and security of hotel to help us they ignored us and finally tried even to blame us. We insisted on videos from cctv, nothing was provided, hotel even refused to call police. Finally we had strong feeling that this robbery was most likely done with support of somebody from hotel employees. We expressed our concerns to hotel- they ignored us again. After several attempts to speak with General Manager of hotel , we received refuse again. It’s hard to imagine that this kind of crime accident could happened in Zanzibar in hotel which pretends to be 5 star hotel. I find this place very unsafe to stay and most concerns are related to unprofessional behavior and attitude of hotel’s management to clients. Our experience is the best prove that hotel Verde doesn’t care of guests and it’s better to find another hotel in Zanzibar with high standards of security and correct behavior of management.

The property is located in a lovely area not too far from the airport and close to Stone Town. Its a shame that one cannot walk onto the beach, it should be something you seriously consider. Pools were excellent, a very child friendly hotel, when the water park does open it will be great. Staff breakfast excellent. Cleanliness excellent. The gym needs a personal trainer or at least someone to show you how to use equipment. I am guessing it is still under progress. Shame the spa was not ready!

Hotel Verde came with a fantastic package of relaxation and recreational facilities. Just perfect for a honeymoon getaway. We will definitely be returning to this hotel for a family vacation.
