When I checked in the type of room that I had booked and paid for was not available due to claims of maintenance concerns. They offered me a downgraded room and were astonished that I asked for some of my money back.
They actually expected that they could sell a room, not deliver it and offer an inferior product but keep all the money.
The room was in the middle of a residential neighbourhood where every one had about a dozen roosters. Non stop crowing 24 hours a day. There was a nice large shared balcony, problem was kids playing until late at night then a family talking loudly at 5 AM.
Room itself was nice, modern and clean. However the kitchen had no hot place and there was no refrigerator in the room, but they did move a small one in.
