This is a beautiful and historic property with fantastic views over Narragansett Sound from dawn to sunset. Its well equipped and tastefully furnished and provided my family with a perfect base for exploring Rhode Island and relaxing by the beach. There is a lovely garden and a wooden pier leading out into the sea - very helpful for swimming, fishing and bringing a boat in (if required). Internet connection was excellent and allowed us to stream Netflix/ Amazon in the evenings. Plenty of electrical sockets throughout the house and loads of glasses, plates, cooking utensils and garden furniture. Sofas are comfy and dining areas are spacious and allow you to move around according to the time of day and weather. We loved spending time in the wrap around screened-in veranda areas. Prudence island is a gem and we really enjoyed discovering the many hiking trails, Farnham Farm (fruit picking), fishing from the T-wharf, the community library, spending time with friendly neighbors and taking the ferry back and forwards to Bristol (another lovely port). Please don't be put off coming to PI by deer ticks : they are perfectly manageable and no worse than many other places we have travelled in North America. We recommend this property to anyone in search of the road less travelled - it's a great house to chill out in and a good base from which to discover the beautiful state of Rhode Island. Highly recommended.

We loved staying in this cottage - so cosy, every thing we could’ve wanted — Looking forward to coming back!

The house was adorable. Perfectly decorated. The beds were comfy. The sheets were nice. Perfectly situated on the island. The house had everything you could need-washer, dryer, tons of towels, beach chairs, coffee maker, plenty of kitchen equipment even for complicated meal prep. The outside shower was heavenly. I didn’t use the indoor shower once after I tried it. The view when you wake up in the morning is a delight! Full ocean view. And all the porches were perfectly appointed and we used each one every day! The island itself is a total haven. Complete get-away from it all feel. The only negative I can think of were neighboring roosters who were very charming, but could act as an early alarm clock if you are a light sleeper. (A set of ear plugs or a fan could easily muffle the sound) All in all this was a truly terrific find! We had a fastastic vacation week and I am already looking forward to next year!!

I honestly don’t think I can fully describe how lovely this cottage is. The views of the water, the private beach just steps away, the impeccably clean furnishings, the beautiful yard, the thoughtful amenities (from Roku TV to kids toys to a wealth of beach towels) - this cottage is truly a gem. Prudence Island is absolutely lovely - small and friendly (be ready to wave at every passerby during your drives around the island). There is a sandy beach only a five minute drive away, but we ended up preferring the simplicity of the pebble beach just in front of the house, and our son thought the floating dock was just the coolest thing! The screened in porch was beyond perfect and the perfect way to enjoy the evenings both bug free and within ear shot of the sleeping kiddos. The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen fully stocked with even cooking oils and spices. Additionally, Vincente is a wonderful host - everything was just as promised and he was incredibly quick to reply to any questions we had. We LOVED our time on Prudence Island & are counting the days until we can return!

Vicente’s cottage is even more wonderful than pictured. It had everything we needed for a weekend getaway and Vicente was incredibly helpful and responsive. We would absolutely stay again!

Lovely waterfront cottage with great views of Portsmouth, Bristol and Providence. A perfect place for a family vacation. The locals are all super friendly. Be sure to bring all your own provisions with you because the island only has one very small covenience store and no restaurants.

My husband and I recently rented this property and had an absolutely wonderful time. Just as advertised, the property is located right on the water with a breathtaking view of Narragansett Bay. You can tell that Vincent has made an effort to create a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for his guests. The house was well stocked with every kind of amenity you could possibly need for your stay. Beach towels, Linens, toiletries, and A well-stocked kitchen, just to name a few. While some people might find the Solitude of the island to be boring, we found it to provide the Peace, Quiet and relaxation that we needed to escape our busy lives. Even though you won't find pubs, restaurants or shops here, there is no shortage of Outdoor Adventures made available at your doorstep. We brought our bicycles and kayaks, and surely took advantage of the many trails and Less Traveled dirt roads. our little getaway was quite romantic, however I could see returning here with my sister, brother-in-law and their three children for a fun family adventure.

This property has it all! Wonderful views, beautiful yard and flowers, along with everything you need for a relaxing time away.

My family we’re all pleasantly surprised. The cottage was perfect! We had the best weather, amazing water views, peace and quiet. Great place to reconnect with each other and decompress before school starts back up! Thanks Vincent
