Room was perfect. Large and quiet. Just minutes from downtown, it was set back from the road and surrounded by jungle. The reception ladies were fabulous. Only improvement would be table lamps to allow guests to turn off the lights separately.

Staff was wonderful. Our other Expedia booked hotel was oversold, and Expedia put us in this hotel telling us it was better. It was not. 3 spiders in the shower. Ants in the room. Rustic, with daylight showing through the walls. Very sub par sheets and blanket. Pool with no flowers, or anything to make you want to spend time there. I would expect to spend $50 to $60 for a hotel like this. We travel a lot and I would not return. I cannot understand why it has such high ratings.

The accommodations met my needs. Nothing fancy for the price. We were in the first bungalow and you could hear the morning (5:00) traffic. We received free breakfast. We ate there the first morning and it was fair. Friends ate dinner there and the service was very, very slow. Dinner was average.

Steps from local supermarket. Close to restaurants and La Fortuna. Beautiful landscaping. Good breakfast. Pool not so nice. Need a little bit of maintenance. Maybe better chairs. Overall I would stay again no problem.

Clean rooms/property, friendly/helpful staff, close to shops/activities/restaurants. Cool single hut rooms with jungle feel.

Big A-frame bungalows set back from the road to minimize noise, though what can you do about a barking dog? Well-landscaped grounds. Great view of volcano. Pool is big enough to do laps. Close to town but feels remote. Pamela at front desk helped get us healthy discounts on ziplining, white water rafting and Ecotermales.

We enjoyed the slight seclusion being 2k from La Fortuna but perfectly close to good local eateries. The coffee/ cocoa tour, waterfall and Baldi Springs were within walking distance. The hotel is away from the road and offers lots of bird spotting opportunities. We saw our first toucans 😀.

We liked the friendly staff. Also liked the cabin feel of the rooms. Good location near good amenities. Would recommend
