Lovely place with a great breakfast
A lovely hotel in middle of nowhere which we were looking for. Very warm welcome from the owner which was great upon arrival. The breakfast was amazing, few homemade things which was great! The only thing to improve would be to have a proper blinds in the room as we had a corner room and people could see into our room. Otherwise really great place to stay!

Lovely country hotel close to everything and yet wonderfully on its own. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. We stayed in a cottage which was extra lovely. The owners are very welcoming and friendly.

Amazing
Arrived in the dark after a long trip down the gravel road...to get there, but it was such a worthwhile detour. Hosts were fantastic. Room was beautiful, really clean and the breakfast room has amazing views... can’t recommend enough. Thanks

If you need a great place to see Northern Lights in Hella, this is the place. We saw Northern Lights for the first time on the first night we arrived in Iceland. We received warm welcome by the owner, Stuart when we arrived at Hotel Lækur after 8pm. He prepared late night dinner for us. The tastes of soup and Char fish are excellent. Our room was facing north. We saw Northern Lights in the front of our room for almost 2 hours. We could go back to our room anytime to warm up. The skies were clear, revealing thousands of bright stars including The Big Dipper, and it was rather windy and cold. We will stay in the same room next time we go.

Good place to stay
enjoy staying there, it would be a good place to see northern light as it is wide open area and remote from main road. And nice breakfast as well. but unfortunately the sound proof isn’t good enough when you room is above the restaurant

We loved this place and would stay again if we return to Iceland. It’s a perfect stop off of the Golden Circle. The food was great and our room was cozy. I’ve already recommended it to a friend!
