BO - マルケス アパートメンツ (ポルト)

This is a fabulous apartment! We were so happy with the location (across from the metro) and loved the space the 2 bedroom apartment offered. We especially loved the terrace! There are lots of conveniences: washing machine, a separate sitting room, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen with coffee and coffee maker, and it even includes the free use of a Smart phone which includes apps for getting around town. The owners really put a lot of thought in ensuring that their guests have a truly enjoyable stay. The only complaint I have is that the twin size beds desperately need to be replaced, as they are very lumpy and uncomfortable.

The place was spotless, spacious, and super comfortable. The location was also perfect with the apartment being right outside the metro exit. The walls between floors were a little thin though. I could hear people moving around below and above my room at night.

These apartments are in a great location across the street from the metro which makes it very easy to get around. It only costs 1.95 euro to travel from the airport and takes about 35 minutes. The metro is clean and safe. All other journeys around Porto from the apartments cost 1.20 euro, although it's best to walk down to the riverside and around the town and then get the metro to avoid the steep climb back! The staff are very friendly and have lots of information and tips about Porto. The apartments are modern, very clean and mostly furnished by Ikea. We had the loft garden view apartment and it had a lovely balcony with views across the rooftops. There are a few restaurants nearby which offer huge portions at very cheap prices. Although this seems to be the case in most Porto restaurants. The square opposite where the metro emerges seems very safe with a fountain, lovely trees, a cafe, families socialising and old men playing cards. Hotels.com website says the apartments have Tempur-pedic mattresses and a pillow menu. We had only 1 pillow each and a mattress from Ikea, so their information is wrong. In the evening go across the river to Gaia and eat in a restaurant there, it's less crowded and you get the best view of Porto as the sun sets.

Excellent accommodation in an ideal location. Close enough to city centre to walk but with a metro station immediately outside, plus lots of buses. Apartment had everything I needed, even complementary coffee. Fantastic bakery two doors away and supermarket within 10 minutes.
