Ok, I never leave reviews, but I honestly feel obligated to the consumer to inform them of what I wish I had known prior to arrival. I’m a half-full person so will sandwich my response. The location is great, convenient , safe, and somewhat worth it. We were able to navigate through NY with ease.
The amenities were not so great. (1) the rooftop lounge, area, whatever on the rooftop was NEVER open for the 4 days we were there (Thursday-Monday). Excuses were made as to why the rooftop was not open, which boiled down to the owner not opening it. There is no manager at this time. All very odd. The restaurant was open 2/4 days and at very early times, usually closed by 12/1. So please don’t think you will eat here after those times. This next one is very important. They do not sell, carry, or can provide water. This is mind boggling, that as a hotel you don’t even have a vending machine for water. 7 eleven is your best bet to avoid dehydration. No snacks, no supplies, no crackers, no water hmm. The best they could do is go grab you a glass downstairs. Extremely inconvenient. Overall the hotel seems to be very naked, skeleton crew type place, with poor management.
Lastly, this spot has potential to be much better. I don’t want to be all bad because some the staff are doing the best they can, but ownership is not doing their part to provide all what is needed to be great. The price is better than a 4-5 star hotel, but still pricey enough to expect better.
