This is a pedestrian hotel with a great location. The river boat terminal is just a few steps away. The boats stop at terminals with walking access to the Grand Palace, Iconsiam shopping center, Wat Arum, etc. Also, easy walking distance to Khaosan road. Rooms are utilitarian. Staff does what they need to do, but without enthusiasm.

The staff were friendly and helpful but the place is a bit tired. It could use some updating. And the WiFi did not work well.

Excellent location in the heart of old Bangkok. Very helpful staff.

Pros: Beautiful pool and great location, close to restaurants, markets, and exciting Khao San Road. Cons: Room smelled musty as though it needed a good airing, and was a bit dirty (white walls with brown smudges from lack of cleaning). Staff told us when we checked out that they had to check the room before we departed, which meant we arrived late to the train station just as our train was pulling out. Would have been convenient to know about this in advance so we could allow extra time. Breakfast is at best a 5/10.

I had a reservation for a superior room with a balcony and a view of the river. But the room I got was very basic, no balcony, and no view. They told me it was a "superior room," and refused to give me a room with a balcony and view. I think what happened is that they overbooked because it was during the holidays. Expedia promised to look into but they didn't get back to me. So all in all booking this hotel was a really bad experience for me.

Great riverside location in the most interesting part of the city.

Place wasn’t the prettiest but had a good location and that was about it. WiFi was basically unusable. They don’t clean the room at all unless you personally go down every day and ask them. They literally give you one roll of toilet paper so if your out you’re literally in a crappy situation. Staff wasn’t friendly in the slightest. You would say hi or how are you and they wouldn’t even reply. They tried to get me a cab to the airport to leave and they said it would be literally double the price when I just got one on the street. I did this after waiting 5 minutes for one and he told me the price. This is the porter not the taxi saying this. Doors slam shut extremely loud so basically they wake you up every time someone working 5 rooms of you opens or closes the doors. I couldn’t sleep in past 8am ever. I literally left a day early and stayed with a friend. Not worth the cheap price to be honest. Terrible. lace was also just not clean but that was the least of my worries

No frills hotel in a good location that presents a fair value. Breakfast is typical of what you find in Bangkok and nice.

The rooms were pretty nice, as expected based on the photos. The included breakfast was always excellent and served on the riverside deck, which made staying there with it by itself. Incredible location for walking to the temples and hanging out at kao san road, but need to take taxis to get anywhere further out, so that's an added expense. Recommended overall.
