This hotel was a great place to stop on our way to Yosemite. Rooms were clean, front desk staff was helpful, and the hotel was in the perfect location to be able to walk to many restaurants, bars, and shops in the downtown Sonora area.

Staff was super helpful! Accommodated my disabilities and made it a pleasant stay. The breakfast the next morning was absolutely amazing! It was nice to see that big of a breakfast included. Love the fact that it had an upper balcony you could sit and people watch on.

Idea of the historic hotel was appealing, but room was horrendously unkempt and dirty. Breakfast, which was on a hot plate, was ice cold and uncooked. Room had baseboards falling off, patched holes unpainted, dirty floor and bedding. It was unfortunate because it could have been a nice place to stay given its history. Stay elsewhere, nicer hotels to be had down the same street

The room was clean but it lacked amenities like a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator typically found in hotels. Our room was inthe front of the hotel facing the street was not quiet. Maybe the room in the rear are more quiet. The staff was not friendly. On a positive note, The Pool was nice and clean and the room air conditioner worked well.

The room was a little dated but it's a old hotel so it's expected but it was clean and the AC was working great. Our TV wasn't working but the staff got it resolved quickly. Overall a good place to stay and its right on the strip and easy walking to multiple restaurants and shops.

My wife and I loved our visit to the Gunn House Hotel. We met Harry who is wonderful and very helpful. And he's quite a good chef for morning breakfast. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked great. We sat outside our room in the evening with our tablets and watched all the cars go by on Washington St. I give an A+ to the staff and Harry for their great hosting. We will be back. Take care for now, Kevin & Debbie.

The hotel was in a state of disrepair. The bathtub was covered in hair, the sheets were dirty, and the staff was unfriendly. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially since it’s a historic hotel. A little more attention to the hotel would make a big difference.

It’s kind of a pain to get to the second floor , because I think you can only walk around one side to get there. But the view of the Main Street and the historic nature of the building or extremely cool! Very nice, helpful staff.
