Quiet and clean. I was in a 2 bedroom cottage. I Loved the airy screened in porch, and I love the proximity to the hiking trails. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking pans and utensils I needed.

It was nice having a cottage to ourselves. Very nice to have a kitchen, refrigerator and also a porch to sit on.

Everything about this place is great, the people who work at the office are so nice to work with, the grounds are beautiful and easy access to some amazing hikes. Also, they made sure that our place was cleaned and sanitized for our stay for several days. Definitely coming back here soon!

We got a bait and switch room. I've never had this issue on hotels.com before and totally blame the rental and not the website. The rental made sure to reach out immediately to let me know they'd charge extra for my dog, which they did. However, the room I rented was to have a large claw foot tub which in the email with the site I specified that was important if they needed to change my room. THIS WAS THE REASON I BOOKED THE ROOM! The cottage I was given had a bathtub so small you could barely shower comfortably. There was a swamp cooler that didn't even cool the front room so the bedroom was stifling during the day, though cool in the evening. Further, there are private owned cabins mixed with the rentals. One in particular brought their dog to poop on the grass in front of the front door every time he needed to go, forcing me to clean up after it all weekend. 0 stars. Unimpressed. Not recommended. Great access to trails, but that's anywhere in CO.

The property location is perfect and we had everything we needed. The view is lovely and the year-round neighbors are very kind. The only thing that could have been improved upon was the Wi-Fi connection. For some reason, most of the time we could not connect to the Wi-Fi. That's a small inconvenience in an otherwise wonderful stay.

Excellent stay. They seem to be doing an excellent job with COVID precautions though they are quite booked so there weren't any gaps in the occupancy between lodgers. Loved the quality teas/coffees left in the room. Location with proximity to hiking is unbeatable. Two minor negatives for us. 1) The bed was two XL twins coupled together instead of a single mattress in the Columbine Lodge room we stayed in. I know some couples like this but it wasn't ideal for us. 2) There wasn't a pan available for the small oven so we needed to buy some aluminum foil to reheat some of the take-out pastries we purchased due to not wanting dine-in options with COVID.

We've been staying at Chautauqua for 20 years, visiting our Boulder family--and we love it more than ever. It's charming, the cozy, renovated cottages are great, and lovely trails are right outside the door.

Located at the base of the Flatirons. Apt/cottage had kitchenette, comfy bed, quiet and quaint! Loved it!
