Great staff; always taking care of our wellbeing during COVID. We always felt safe

Lovely hotel with a throwback feel of Spanish influence. Staff was attentive and courteous. Internet somewhat lagging. Overall a good stay.

Toilet barely flushed, drain didn’t drain properly, shower water was luke warm even with just hot water, smelly room, no fridge, shower water leaked on floor no matter how hard you tried. Way overpriced at 150 a night with taxes, worth maybe 50$ a night max Employees were all great.

Nice, older property. Great location. Good value for price . WiFi slow, but we were on the sixth floor. Would stay again.

Stayed here because the stay 3 years ago was so successful. This time there was way more street noise even though it was the same time of year, also noise within the courtyard from chairs dragging and it was difficult to control the room temperatures. The choice was hot or freezing cold A/C. We also ended up paying about 20% more than quoted price even though we paid cash in Mexican $. So disappointed.

Location, location, location! You are in the heart of Merida. We were in the old rooms so delicatly remodeled.

Good location,close to shopping, friendly helpful staff

The people at Casa del Balam were wonderful. Friendly, warm and helpful. The room looks exactly like pictured but remember the picture was probably taken long ago. If you like antiques you should love this hotel. If you like 4 or 5 star hotels you will be disappointed. There is a lot of road noise in the rooms. Each room receives 2 bottles of water per day and shampoo and bars of soap. The location is very good if you want to be in the historic district. Lots of shops and restaurant nearby.

Great location. I've stayed here many times and love the atmosphere.
