My plane landed Beirut at 2.05 am. Hotel driver I booked did not show up. Had to phone hotel from airport before a driver was sent after waiting at airport for over an hour. Could not communicate with driver because he could not speak English. When going to airport I was given another non-english speaking driver who took me Arrival instead Departure. When I arrived at hotel at about 4:00 am 9/10/19, though room was readily available I was asked to pay for another night and I left the hotel 12/10/19 forfeiting 3 paid-for nights.

Excellent hotel in regard to cleanliness, friendly staff, location, amenities. Located on Bliss Street where American University is. Close to Medical center and Clemenceau Medical Center and to Hamra Street, a shopping street. It’s modern. Eating facilities are same building where Paul, a well know cafe is where you can have all day meals. Same street has many food places catering for the university students. I highly recommend

Great location and very spacious room (called Leonard), however there was a strong odor to the room (they claimed due to carpet cleaning) but other than that, everything was perfect. You have everything you need in the same building.

The staff amazing don’t have any complaints just the location is not the perfect for a first visit to Beirut

Heard about this hotel from my friends, and it exceeded my expectations. Everyone is so welcoming, rooms are spacious, very practical. comfy bed and pillows. Most importantly great views!! Thanks everyone at 1866 for making it a memorable experience.

This hotel had a great location across the street from the university and close to many sites. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all requests. The room was unique and very comfortable.
