The hotel is very comfortable and good value. The staff are amazingly helpful, hospitable, kind: from the reception staff, to the cleaning staff, everyone is great. Excellent breakfast. Very useful to have pool, gym, sauna in basement. Highly recommended - I will always stay here when in Bishkek

Terrible . You may regret yuor reservation at this hotel . We were a group of 9 people who made a booking at this hotel in the month of June 2019 . As per the terms , the booking should have been charged for in August , but they took full payment at the time of making the booking itself . Inspite of making a booking 3 months in advance , we checked in at the hotel and were told the next morning that we would be shifted to a chines hotel because ' there were urgent repair works ' taking place in the hotel . We explained to the staff that we were going to be out all day , and they were free to enter the rooms and make repairs as required. When we arrived from our sightseeing, we were astonished to find that our bags were packed and kept in the lobby . They actuall entered our rooms in our absence , dumped everybodys stuff into their respective bags and kept the bags in the lobby for checkout. When one person who had the key , she found other people in her room, a clear indication that the hotel had booked other guests with overbookings . we made a big noise but it was of no use. The manager is the biggest chicken of the lot. He sent a 1 month old trainee to handle the situation whilst he stood behind the curtain and watched the show. And not a word of apology. Nightmare

I had a reservation for this hotel (through Hotels.com and used free nights to secure the reservation); however, when I arrived at the hotel, I was told that, yes, that had received my reservation, but no I could not stay there. I was told at first that I could not stay there because there was "an important conference" there and they needed my room. When I angrily confronted them that they had sold my room, the concierge started stuttering that no, no of course not that, um, um, um, my room was being repaired and they had no space. This hotel has the best location in Bishkek for sightseeing, which is why I reserved the hotel. They, however, put me in another hotel hell and beyond from the center of town in a terrible suburb. Hollywood could easily use that part of town for its next post-apocalyptic zombie movie and not have to change much in the neighborhood. Crumbling homes, abandoned buildings, boarded up businesses was the norm ... along with drunks passed out on the sidewalk on either side of the hotel. They claimed it was in a "great" part of town (a lie), that it was a "great" hotel (another lie), and that it was easy to access downtown (yet another lie). I found a taxi in this hell hole and he wanted the equivalent of US$ 30 to go into the center of town -- considering it costs US$ 10 from the airport (45 minutes from town), that tells one how far I was. Kyrgyzstan is known for its hospitality, this hotel is the antithesis of that and ruined my time in Bishkek.

Easily our worst stay ever in Bishkek. Staff are not overly friendly, managers are impossible to find and small-minded in their attitudes, breakfasts items are offered slightly above room temperature, VIP rooms have noisy plumbing. There are far better offerings nearby.

A decently renovated hotel situated in a nice location. Problems with WiFi connection, high quality breakfast if compared with international brand hotels, mediocre quality breakfast if compared with other local (non-international branded) hotels. The security guy was trying to establish an eye-contact every time I enter the building - reminded me about post-soviet "bandit-culture" from 90-ies. Very good cleaning team. Helpful personnel at the reception. Nice sauna with pretty big pool.

The original property was changed to Discovery hotel due to problems with room. The quality is less than original but staff is ok
