Great staff, great location, and the room itself was clean completely adequate. However... the bathroom is nicely appointed and modern, but there is no shower door or exhaust fan. You feel naked in the middle of the room and water splashes all over the floor. Then, there's no mini fridge for your leftovers from the many amazing restaurants nearby, nor is there a market or even a simple vending machine to get drinks or to satisfy the sweet tooth. Breakfast is better left unsaid. There's bread and bagels you can toast, some yogurt, some fruit, but that's it. Overall, it's great for the staff and the location, but it's still lacking in terms of what one would expect for the price. We've stayed at several historic hotels in several Virginia towns, and this hotel unfortunately is at the bottom of the list. I'm sure they've made quite a bit of headway with their refurbishment/ rebranding, but they have some ways to go to reach their price point.v
