We stayed three nights in the double room with shared terrace. The hotel is decorated with tons of colorful tiles from Puebla that makes us feel love of the owners for this place. Rooms and terrace are ocean view with hammocks and are very clean, and we enjoyed watching sunsets from the swimming pool. We can access to the beach right in front of the pool where is not a sandy white beach but we can enjoy snorkeling and is safe for small children.
The island itself has been changing more and more like touristic place demanding tourist price
but this place is filled with island's hospitality and definitely we will come back to stay in Joya.

Es un lugar pequeño con pocos cuartos pero vistas espectaculares desde el cuarto y muy limpio y acogedor.

Love this place, love the staff.
Loved our stay at this quaint and quiet property. The staff is VERY helpful, friendly and service oriented. Miguel was amazing, works really hard, and was always offering to do things for us. The manager was always checking with us to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We will be back!

Mala experiencia
Al llegar al hotel despues de 15 horas de avion no tenian agua y no se podia utilizar la ducha , el baño o simplemente lavarte las manos. Por la noche nos disponemos a cenar en la terraza de la piscina y despues de pedir la cena nos dicen que van a realizar trabajos y no podemos estar alli. Nos tenemos que coger un taxi y bajar al pueblo a cenar. Las formas y el trato no me gustaron y me hicieron no estar agusto ya en el hotel. Al dia siguiente el agua funcionaba pero el baño se atasco. Es una pena por que el hotel me gusto pero con estas situaciones no pude disfrutar de mis vacaciones .

We loved every minute at Hotel La Joya. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The hotel has an unique and authentic look with views that are second to none. Having breakfast on our patio each morning was amazing. Would definitely recommend Hotel La Joya to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
