I reserved two twin rooms for me and my family. The rooms are clean, sizable and well kept. The bathrooms are wonderful, sizable with large walk-in showers. The restaurant food is very good. The hotel is across the street from the beach. A few issues prevented me from giving 5 stars. The parking is terrible on the weekend with all the golfers. Also, the pool is wonderful, but it closes early at 8:00 pm. My son and I entered the pool at 7:45 and soon realized we only had a few minutes to enjoy it. Lastly, there was a bit of noise in the hall later in the evening. It sounded like someone was doing some major maintenance. Fortunately, it did not last long, but there was no way to sleep until it was over

The hotel was taken on by new management in January 2019 and is in the process of Improvement, There were a couple of small things that marred the week but overall our stay was quite relaxing. The food is very good and after a couple of days the early morning staff became more inclined to help with coffee. At 6:30 in the morning when we headed to the gym there is no coffee available at the restaurant but after a word with the team they accommodated us,The outside pool and hot tub which is supposed to be heated was freezing, and the most amazing thing was a power cut which led to a complete shut down of service because they have no backup generator. Overall though the place is well run and staff are friendly and helpful.

Location was perfect for us, given we had come primarily for the surf. An interesting property about to start some refurbishment, although it has both charm and character in abundance. New staff are learning their trade and are eager to please and new management have great plans for the place. Both breakfast and the evening meals we had there were superb and plentiful - and by far the best shower in any hotel I’ve stayed! Massive rooms and great facilities, I’d call this place an unpolished diamond and can’t wait to go back to see progress over the coming years
