The resort itself was extremely beautiful, from the pool to the entire outdoor area. I will definitely give them that. However, once you get inside the rooms, they are pretty basic, especially for the amount of money you’re paying. There wasn’t even a microwave in the room. We asked for one and were told they don’t provide them, which was a big turnoff for me. You can order room service, but there really weren’t clear directions on how to do it, and the phones in the room didn’t work. There also wasn’t enough communication about how to get around the resort or what was going on. The pool closes way too early, and there were a bunch of kids running around. I definitely think a resort like this should have an adults-only pool area. Overall, the property is beautiful, but for the amount of money we spent, I expected a lot more. The stay wasn’t horrible, but it was definitely mediocre and, for me, not worth the price.

Unfortunately, had a horrible experience at this resort despite how excited we were to stay here. First impression it’s beautiful and clean, but once you pay attention to the details, they definitely are understaffed and are using automation to save budget. There was a convention during our stay so you would expect more traffic and more staff, but that was not the case. There were areas where I just saw cigarette buds on the floor multiple times. Coffee spilled at the first entrance as you walk in with no sign of anyone coming to clean it while we waited 20 minutes for valet. .in th elevators, there was a lot of water which is expected because there’s a pool but it’s an easy case for someone to fall. Our silverware and glass cups were not clean when we dined at the restaurant. Tried the cafe which wasn’t bad until my eggs had hair in them and Tasted like they were cooked old oil that tasted like meat. I tried to return it for a credit but since I ate half of it, they said they are not able to. I guess Hair is the secret ingredient! Pool food wasn’t good either. My nachos were very, very watered down and again I tried to exchange it before eating most of it and they said that I couldn’t because it’s already been opened and touched. The hotel comes off as luxury but you definitely don’t get that for the price that you pay. With all of my feedback I only got $100 credit which for a family of five really does nothing. I don’t recommend this hotel Omni in. Carlsbad is way better

If you've been to a Gaylord Hotel, this one falls in line. Massive waterpark that's absolutely the centerpiece. Absolutely recommend for younger families, especially, as there's a children's pool and lazy river that are great. It sits across the street from the San Diego Bay, but there really is no water access. Closest beach is either Imperial Beach or Coronado. Extremely easy access, with two exits off I-5. Just be prepared for expensive parking and expensive dining if you choose to stay on the property. Minutes away from other restaurant options in Chula Vista. One piece of advice, get a room that faces the bay. EXCELLENT VIEW! The other side of the hotel faces an empty, bare lot and the freeway, so I'd have been disappointed if I'd had this side. Only real complaint is it's a long walk from the room to the parking garage. Not sure how thought out that was in planning it.

My family had the best time we were there for my son's 18th birthday. You were able to get pool passes for his friends to come and rented a cabana. Service people at the cabana were amazing it was the most relaxing time ever. The food at the restaurants were excellent. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We did not utilize the parking because we were locals and just took an Uber. Staff offered us early check in when we arrived it was a wonderful time and I hope we could do this annually.

Our stay at the Gaylord Pacific was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with modern, elegant rooms and breathtaking views of the water. The entire property is spotless and thoughtfully designed, making it feel like a true luxury resort. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay, always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The pools, restaurants, and common areas were all excellent, and there was plenty to do without ever needing to leave the resort. The waterfront location in San Diego is hard to beat, offering gorgeous scenery and a relaxing atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a family vacation, a romantic getaway, or just a place to unwind, the Gaylord Pacific is a fantastic choice. We had an amazing experience and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Beautiful resort with different pools perfect if you’re traveling alone or with kids fun for everybody and the view from the balcony rooms is beautiful

Beautiful resort, the food at the restaurant Growlers was ok we had the nachos, chicken cesar salad and waygu burger, was a little cold. I had my two year old with me and the waitress tried to place us right at the very front during FIFA game so I requested a different table and she did move us which I appreciated. The pools were relaxing. The balcony views stunning during sunset and to watch the fireworks. If I could just recommend something maybe a sensory friendly room for kids. My little one has Autism so I would have like to have taken her somewhere where she can can play in quieter setting then the game room or pool. But overall really enjoyed out stay.
