エル プランティオ ゴルフ リゾート (アリカンテ)

Good hotel -close to airport but need taxis to get anywhere - good for a peaceful break.

Heard about this hotel before but got the worst treatment here. I paid extra for a roof top terrace and we were assigned bottom floor. After challenging the guy we were told all rooms were the same and everyone paids the same. I showed the different options that were available to book and got laughed at. I didnt give up the fight and eventually got a 2nd floor which was the best we were getting. Parking was the next problem. I had to drive back to reception as there was no parking and was asked for 15euro per night for underground parking. I showed them the 'free parking' that appears on the website but that only covers about 10 spaces around the whole complex. Where else do you park in the middle of no where. There is no way to lock the apartment door completely. Housekeeping come on in with both locks on, dont speak english and got annoyed when asked to leave. My family we're up yet! Bugs were the next problem, got a balcony cover with plants, branches, trees growing over and got bites all over from sitting there. Very limited pool chairs and the pool itself could do with a clean and a lot of tiles replaced before someone gets hurt. They boast about 9/10 rating but needs a lot of work!

Fabulous resort , apartment had everything including a lovely view over the golf course. Would recommend hiring a car.

Lovely place shame about the mosquitoes!! We only stayed one night due to early flight the next day, after spending two weeks in Spain and not one bite both myself and husband were covered in bites from spending a few hours at the pool. There wasn’t enough sun beds for the amount of guests staying there. A shop on site would be useful as it’s miles from anywher so without a car you would be stuck.

It's a tropical oasis in the desert-like area near Alicante airport. The flowers are amazing, the green is lush, there are some garden trails and some trails off-property. We didn't golf, but loved every other aspect of the resort: the rooms are expansive and stylish and high quality; there are two very large pools, the grounds are gorgeous and the condos fit in beautifully with it; the beers poolside were in frosty mugs and delicious and the dinner, both food and service, was excellent! My wife and I had been driving and site seeing from Alicante to Barcelona to Montpellier and back and we really needed this luxurious and restful place for our last night and the price were terrific!
