Your only paying for location. I got a room Bc the wife wanted a tub to soak in. The pictures for the queen bed room has a deep soaking tub and even the website says the queen rooms have a whirlpool. So I paid $165 for the room on Saturday night. We got to the hotel at 3pm,checked in and went to room 20. The room not only didn't have a tub, just a shower, the bed didn't have posts on the corners of the bed like the pictures had. So don't book a room thinking you get what you see in the pictures. Also Lincoln speedway is close so you can hear the cars every Saturday night and it's hard to sleep. The breakfast was laughable. This place is a restaurant and all they had was bread, yogurt, apples and a fruit bowl. No cereal or eggs or waffles or anything a regular hotel would have. The TV was the size of a suitcase. Again all your paying for is location, $165 could have gone a long way with other rooms in the area but she wanted the soaking tub. I won't be staying here again

I'm not sure why this place isn't reviewed more often. I thought it was charming and super cute. Rooms were remodeled. Our bathroom wasn't and the ceiling could use some dusting, but otherwise very quaint and cozy. I stayed with my husband and teenaged son but think this place would be better suited for a romantic getaway. It comes with a continental breakfast that will leave you satisfied. Have dinner in the restaurant below, you don't regret it. The meatloaf and crab cake are AMAZING. I woudl definitely stay here and eat here again.

The Altland House was an older house with a lot of character. We loved the House and would stay again in a heart beat. They have a restaurant on the first floor and the food is excellent. The actual hotel rooms are old school with a real key to get in the room but the beds were awesome and the wallpaper and accessories were really nice. I have seen some reviews that think they should remodel but I would leave it alone. The only negative I had was the continential breakfast. The breakfast is just a few juices and bagels/pastries. That is the one thing that could be fixed. A good nice solid breakfast would make this place go from good to great.

We stayed due to no rooms in York, which wasn't a big deal it wasn't far and we got to go to downtown Gettysburg for a few hours as that's only 15 minutes away, we stayed in the deluxe suite, it was beautiful and comfortable, breakfast was ehhh and lacking but no matter had a good night

The staff and local were great. The rooms were quaint and comfortable. The bathrooms were partially updated. No issues with functionality or cleanliness. It was just apparent that at some point in the game cheaper and faster won out. Overall, we had a great stay. I would definitely come back.
