8/10 Very good

A very unique hotel. All rooms individual, some great art work and nik naks. Ample parking

Room was a delight. Stunning view. Very welcoming and extremely comfortable and clean. Value for money. Only thing I’d say is drink prices can be a little expensive. Small tonic £5. Other than that was exceptional.

Fascinating decor

One of the most interesting hotels due to the fascinating decor and photographs , The food was excellent
Judith, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The communal areas looked tired but room was lovely and very clean. Very comfortable but very confused by the £2 “cover charge” at breakfast. What for? Left a bad taste. Shame.

Spectacular!

Absolutely spectacular stay at The Rudloe. The service was outstanding as was the room. They made us feel like royalty but at the same time we felt like we were staying with friends. The food was amazing as you would expect and we cannot wait to stay again!
Suzanne, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Not great. No shower , no hot water , heating was blasting like an oven. Rushed staff service. Food not the best considering the name on the door
Craig, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Very expensive for what it was. Meals over priced, wasn't in the main hotel so needed to walk over for dinner/breakfast that was meant to be included but wasn't. Staff were very helpful and polite

8/10 Very good

Great place, unique rooms and well worth the treat

I stayed on a Dinner BnB rate which was great value for money. My second stay here and it won't be my last. Rooms are just fantastic, as was the evening dinner :-) Long gravel driveway which was the only down side as you could hear folk leaving in the morning early. But apart from that 10/10 A star from me

Quirky hotel

Lovely room but unfortunately lighting very bad and no daylight as window covered by Virginia creeper. Receptionist on check in very vague and had no idea of what was covered in my original booking - had to show email confirmation so that the offers paid for could actually be had.

I have stayed here a few times, because i love the quirky ness of the decor and the architecture of the building, the view from the garden across th e country side is breath taking. The food is average The service is poor to say the least the rooms are looking tired and shabby Such a shame

The property is excellent. Thought the food was a bit mediocre and the breakfast service didn't start at the time on menu so was not able to east before leaving. However, still enjoyed my stay.

Rocky horror show?

An eccentric conversion of a gentleman’s country home into a special hotel. Decor a cross between the Rocky horror show and day of the triffids. Meals dinner and breakfast very nice.
David, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

Poor poor service.

Fundamentally, the hotel is woefully understaffed and operationally poor. The attitude of the staff is to say "no" without even checking (as evidenced three times). Staff attitudes, bar the lovely receptionist are curt and bordering on rude. Lovely place visually, but the walls and carpets are in dire need of a make over in the Coach House. Rooms are generally very nice and themed well. Additional charges are everywhere - so beware. Are there better places to stay - yes.

This is a hotel to enjoy, not just a stop over!

We really enjoyed the ambience and our stay here, such an exquisite hotel full of character and art. The dinner and breakfast was amazing which has a limited menu but very well done. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back !
