Overall it was good, but the room was very small, private bathroom was far from home and TV was not available.

Tulip guesthouse is a small place but it is worth every penny. It is a family run business and the family who run the business are very kind and trustworthy. The location is very convenient and is close to most of the major tourist attractions. Will stay there again for future trups to Istanbul. The place is clean and well kept. never felt like I was in danger no matter what time you come back.

Checking in was quick, although its wierd that this hotel does not accept any form of car payments, so I had to withdraw cash and pay later, and that is not good for me (but good only for them) because the exchange rate fluctuates everyday and since I was unable to pay that moment, the rate has good up a bit by the time I was able to withdraw Turkish Liras. Its not a lot, but definitely inconvenient. There is also no elevator. I am physically fit so it doesn't bother me, but what bout senior citizens? I hope they have some service provided to these people. On the good side, they allowed me keep my luggage for free as I go around the city while waiting for my flight. Likewise, the location is superb, just a few blocks from the main Sultanahmet Square with lots of good places to eat. Breakfast is typical Turkish basics and I don't mind. I would definitely check in this hotel again when I return to Istanbul.

Nice hotel close to the entertainment area. Friendly staff. Rooms are basic. Parking is a bit complicated.

Comfort bed,clean room but not much space inside.

We stayed here for another night. Room was cleaned again which we didn't expect as it was not a real hotel so its interesting. Had a really calm night, almost no noise around this time, so it was good. People working here are friendly and smily. You can have a good chat with them. You have the breakfast on terrace floor looking at sea and sun rise which is really peaceful. As my return bus is in afternoon we just emptied our room and left our bag near reception, they said no problem. It would be hard to go around with an extra bag so i am glad for that.

This is a nice family's guest house. Son of family called me after my reservation and said the small room I reserved might be not very comfortable because of size (for me and my wife) so he even sent a video for me to re-consider my choice. I wanted to try anyway as there were no other good options around with this price including breakfast. Yes, room is really small like a box but its okay if you will not spend much time inside except sleeping or taking shower etc. Even though its small it has private bathroom which is very important. And its clean! What i like most about room was it is clean and newly renovated. Breakfast is decent. Location is 5-7 min to Sultan Ahmed and Topkapı area. Hosts are really kind and welcoming, they like to give information or help you about your questions and concerns. So in short, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a clean and decent place. Just one thing I may recommend to host is, please also write on paper in rooms or warn guests before they come to be a bit more silent especially after 10 pm maybe because you can easily hear anything out of door or from the other room.
