Very nice place - clean but not 5 star clean. All nice materials and furnishings. Very unique with the old work and slanted floors. We would recommend the stay. Only negatives were obvious signs of rushed cleaning (Bathroom) and listed fees. $30 to check in 2 hours early and $200 if you checkout past 11am - pretty steep.

Very clean and efficient. Keypads on doors have no lighting until the 1st number is pressed. This makes your initial selection a bit of a guess. Also, both me and my wife weren’t fans of the pillows. In general, nice room and a simple process.

We were just delighted with this gem of a boutique hotel in downtown Madison. The location is so central to great coffee shops, restaurants, and the city’s live music and bar scene. Our room was beautifully furnished with a comfy bed, antique desk, chair, and nice TV. One particularly nice touch was an actual coffee brewer, along with fresh ground coffee, cream, and big ceramic mugs, no lousy Keurig dredge. Nice reusable water bottles were in the fridge. Actual glasses are provided, rather than plastic cups. We appreciated having a double sink combo too and a great shower. There is no front desk but the phone number gets you immediate help. We arrived before our 4 pm check in, and the kind man immediately answering the phone unlocked the outside keypad for us so we could get into the lobby. The history of the building is loads of fun and explained in the lobby. I was charmed by the phonograph in the lobby, which was playing John Prine when we arrived and John Denver the next morning. Street parking was easy to find, and the hotel was very quiet at night (only 7 rooms in all), I hope to stay at The Chandler again!

Adorable hotel and so convenient to all of the restaurants, shops, and bars! We stayed in the Stableman's Quarters, which was right next to the amenities station and water. It is the furthest from the entrance, but closest to the terrace. Loved the decor and informative signs.

The Chandler has the most comfiest bed I've ever slept in! Sometimes I have trouble getting out of bed because it's no nice. Whenever I book at The Chandler it's because I want to get a great night sleep & that is in walking distance to everything!! I would stay here every time we go to Madison except it's on the pricey side for how often we go!

Incredible boutique hotel! We will be using The chandler as our go to hotel. Incredible furnishings, amenities, and don’t forget to check out their wine and bowling bar. Gorgeous design and love all of their wines plus liquor! Very quaint hotel and town!
