素晴らしい景色、部屋、サービスでした。Wonderful view, room & services

ホテルからの景色（The Eiger, the Wetterhorn...）、ロケーション、スタッフのサービス、ケーキブッフェ、すべてが私達には最高でした。ひとつだけ残念だったのは、夕食が日本人の団体客（別室でしたが）と完全に重なってしまい、1時間近く料理が出てこなかったことくらいでしょうか。ただ、最後にはそれも忘れてしまうくらい、全体的には素晴らしかったです。ありがとうございました。 Everything was wonderful. The view of the Eiger, the Wetterhorn...and other mountains was spectacular. The hotel location was a bit far from the station. However it was rather better and I believe that it was one of the greatest places in Grindelwald. The services provide by staff was so nice and kind as well. Only problem was we needed to wait for our dinner served for one hour due to very busy time by another large group of customers (probably Japanese..). Totally, the stay at Hotel Kirchbuehl was so nice. We appreciate and would love to stay again.

Excellent family run establishment

Staff were particularly friendly and the family running the location are very attentive and kind. We enjoyed the facilities and the amazing views. One of the more surprising elements of the stay was how and informed we were prior to arrival regarding COVID and how well the hotel had prepared themselves and their attention to details. Very impressive. Their menu selection os very well done - and the wine list even more impressive - so when we do go back we will stay again.

Fantastic view - evening bar disappointing

Amazing view, quite a hike to the town though. Service on reception was very good as was the breakfast service and the breakfast was wonderful. My husband and I went for a drink at the bar early evening and we were ignored, i believe by the owner who actually started to speak with me but stopped in the middle to speak French with other guests, I then asked a waitress if it was possible to order a drink and waited ages, this put us off using the using the bar again and eating in the restaurant. The hotel room was very nice, but the shower was in the bath and there was very little room between the bath and toilet when getting out of the shower. this is not good for older guests.

Great view, comfortable room.

The hotel gave my Wife and I a complimentary upgrade with a beautiful view from our balcony! Only drawback is that when we have requested for a kettle to boil water, there wasn’t given and house keeping could do a better job at cleaning.

Adorable Swiss Chalet

Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming with the exception of an older woman who worked breakfast. She was not pleasant and made us feel like we were bothering her. The rooms were nice but the bathroom could use a renovation. We ate dinner at the hotel one evening and it was exceptional- both the service and the food.

Many issues, stay away

The rooms are dingy and the walls are paper thin. You can hear every sound in the hall and in the rooms next door. There was a repetitive clicking sound during all three nights of my stay. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the rooms have no air conditioning. There were many issues during my stay. Firstly, the cleaning person did not come to clean my room the first day. Worse still, on the second morning of my stay, someone opened my hotel room door with a card key. I don’t know who it was as they ran off and I was still in bed. I called down to the front desk to report this, and they told me that they can’t “undo what has been done.” They repeated this line to me multiple times after each issue I spoke to them about, which frankly added to my frustration. The hotel restaurant would also not accommodate my requests for a dairy-free meal and overall there seemed to be miscommunication between the staff which made it difficult to arrange shuttle transport to and from the train station. Lastly, contrary to their advertisements, they do not help you access local day hikes. I presented these complaints during my stay and at check out and the managerial staff spent more time telling me I spoke English to quickly than apologizing for all these issues in my stay. There are plenty of hotels in the area, stay away from this one.
