ダイヤモンド ハウス

I moved to this hotel from a bigger one nearby that did not have room for me for the last three days of my stay in Bangkok. I had the mid-range room - which was very small - a large mattress on a slightly-raised wooden platform, a bench on which two people could sit side by side, and a lttte bit of floor (and a closet and mini-bar fridge). Bathroom was very small - no one over the age of about 6 could sit straigh forward on the toilet.. Water pressure was low. No hot water in sink (not a failure, just not provided at all - only one tap.) But the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly. So if you just want a place to put your bags down and sleep, this can do. It feels safe and it is in the Khao San neighbourhood full of backpackers and the hostels and small restaurants (lots on the sidestreets) that serve them and the locals. An agreeable area to stroll in, again safe and friendly. (And if you want a "Jack Armani" suit, you can get one made around the corner from this hotel!) If you need to work or read seriously, this is not the place for you, unless you can read or work in bed. The bench is not comfortable after an hour or so, though it's padded (as am I). There is not enough light to read a book. If you are reading a phone or computer or e-reader, no problem. I did some work one afternoon in the small restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel - part of the lobby of the building. That would not do at a meal time.

Overall a good value place to stay. Bed was a bit too hard for my back unfortunately

Excellent location to the tourist area, very helpful staff, good air conditioning and comfortable bed. Wifi worked also .

Good value hotel, with great location. Room had all the amenities we needed with a pretty modern decor. Service was awesome. We were disappointed to know the upstairs jacuzzi didn’t have any water in it throughout our stay. Also, on our last day the sheet accidently popped off revealing large mattress stains which terrified us a little.

The Golden House is located in the heart of Bangkok. Its clean and have good service. Food in the 1st floor restaurant have delicous Thai food.

alles ok. aber die handtücher haben nach dem ersten gebrauch gemüffelt. bei dem preis sollte das schon passen. und wir wollten unseren aufenthalt verlängern, doch an der reception war das nicht möglich. und online auf der hotelhomepage war es zu kompliziert... da gingen wir halt in ein anderes hotel.
