Upon arrival we were given a welcome drink and a wet towel. Check in was an extremely long wait. We arrived around 2pm;check in was at 3pm. It was 4pm before we got notified a room was ready. There was some painting around the resort, so when we were escorted to our room, it seemed it was not ready after all. After about 15 minutes, the staff member that escorted us to the room informed us that we would be taken to another room. It was a fair sized room, clean and the mini fridge was always stocked with water, soda and alcohol which was included in the all-inclusive package. The main pool on property was a good size and not ever too crowded. The drink were a bit watered down, as all-inclusive mostly are;we countered that with asking for double shots. The food was hit or miss. The first night we ate at the Italian restaurant, and sorry to say it was horrendous;the only eatable dish was the risotto. We ordered all the pasta dishes, a salad, carpaccio and they tasted nothing like what they should have. Even the bread came with a weird pesto look-alike. The buffet never disappointed. The best food on the resort was the gourmet restaurant Limbo. Everything we ate on the menu was delicious. The drink were also strong compared to the rest of the resort and the drinks at the bar were all specialty. The sports bar was great, with lots of games. The beach was disappointing because of the abundance of seaweed, although the last time I visited Punta Cana that was an issue also.
