8/10 Very Good
Dec 1, 2024
Good, with some caveats
Hotel Tupelo is a beautiful place. Parking was very convenient and the downstairs restaurant/lounge was gorgeous! There were a few cons though. The sound insulation is not very good. These rooms have high ceilings, and for some reason, even though the hotel was almost empty due to the holidays, we were out in a room right next to one with a baby. The crying sounded like it was literally in my room. We hear dogs barking and train horns all night. Some of that can’t be prevented being downtown, but just the rooms themselves seem to have thin walls.
The hotel room lighting is very dim, almost no lights besides two reading lights. Bathroom is very pretty. Overall cleanliness was less than I thought a newer hotel should be. So, overall, it’s a beautiful boutique hotel, but some general improvements are needed to have that luxury feel.
