BE AWARE, you have a attend a mandatory “presentation” the day after arriving. I was not made aware of this while booking. When we checked in, the lady tried to convince me that I booked a “standard villa” which is no where near the actual hotel/resort. I paid for a ocean view room at the resort and eventually she tried to make it seem like she was “upgrading us” to a partial ocean view room. SMH
The room was very motel like. The safe did not work (although 2 employees came to “fix” it). The pipe in the shower literally fell off in my hand as I turned the water on. The room was poorly lit so we had great difficulty seeing after 6pm. And we lost electricity about 4 times for a few seconds at a time.
If you do not know Spanish (or speak very little) this is not the resort for you! Only a handful of the staff spoke English. The first day we spent 1/2 hour trying to get directions to the front desk (which is in a different building) because none of the staff we encountered spoke English. This resort seems to be a local “staycation” spot and not a resort for US or English speaking travelers.
Every time we had a meal, we had to deal with the 3 cats that apparently live there? Signs are posted saying do not feed the animals but why are there even cats in the restaurant?
They were a few staff members who were very nice and helpful but I would not recommend this resort to an English speaking traveler who wants a NICE ambiance in their resort.
