My sistas and I were on a little 3 day "Staycay". We live in Miami, but wanted to get away for a few days for a change of scenery. We decided that Boca would be close enough and far enough to enjoy a little break. We looked at several hotels on Hotels.com and wanted to keep within a specific budget for our trip. We decided on Hilton Gardens as it is a Hilton brand and the price was reasonable. We requested connecting rooms a week prior in the app, and was told to call back the morning of the trip to secure the rooms. We were told that due to limited availability, we could not get the rooms, however, the effort would be made to at least get the rooms as close as possible and on the same floor. When we called to check on the rooms, there was no note left in the system, so we had to explain everything all over again. Once reaching the hotel, I learned that my sistas and I were on separate floors. I asked if we could at least be on the same floor and the front desk person was very helpful. We were given adjacent rooms on the same floor, however, one of the rooms had a heavy smell of air freshener as there was an undertone of cigarette smoke in the room. We were accommodated and the room was switched. The rooms were decent, however, the beds are incredibly hard, almost too much so to sleep comfortably. Breakfast has a $10 charge, which took us by surprise. Overall, I'd say the hotel is fair enough, but I probably wouldn't book there again.
