The ONLY reason we chose this hotel was the pool. Pool was under construction. I do believe this should be something listed when you book, or at least an email before arrival, or at the very least at check-in. The staff is poorly managed. Pool, the part that was open, opens at 6:30 am. Or 7 am (different times listed in room and at pool), but no towels available until almost 8am?? Meanwhile dirty towels still at pool, guy cleaning pool until almost 9am. They didn't start blowing the sand off the chairs and patio until 8:45. No shade, but Cabana's are available at $350 9-4pm!! The beach was also a mess until almost 9am. Dirty cups, towels, trash everywhere! NO room service! No breakfast restaurant, only a small room where you could get donuts, coffee, an egg sandwich, etc. and the line always had 15-20 people waiting. Valet parking, was a mess! Waited 20 minutes in the heat. $47 a day!! The kicker was we were told "no housekeeping", and we decided to drive to the keys for the day since we had to get away from the horrible resort, we come home to find our room had been cleaned. Also our Cuban food in the fridge we were expecting was gone. Also I had receipts, coins from the seychelles from a previous trip, 3 rain ponchos hanging in the closet. All were gone. First they said they cleaned the wrong room, so why take our things? then they said they thought we checked out. But our key still worked? Not sure which scenario is worse, taking our things or leaving our keys to work.
