Husband and I were in town for a memorial service for a friend that passed. Arrived to check in around 5 PM - room was not ready, making us over 1/2 hour late to memorial (advertised check-in time is 3 PM) Bed was not made, blanket/bedding was piled in the chair in the room (made me wonder if they were planning to reuse it - gross - so I grabbed it and tossed it on the floor, and told one of the staff that we would not be using that blanket). Bathroom in general smelled like body odor and sweaty socks. Bathtub looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in ages; needless to say, glad we weren't flying anywhere as we opted to shower once we returned home the next day (thankfully we weren't staying 2 nights), rather than use the shower in the room. Was glad to have a place to sleep, but that was the only thing I was glad about. Pool was closed while we were there (weren't planning to use it, but it was Friday night and, normally, something we would use, if not that night, then in the morning before we checked out). I understand staffing shortages, etc, but to give guests keys to a room that's not ready a full 2 hours after posted check-in time is just ridiculous. Will not stay here again. I didn't think to take photos, as I wasn't planning on doing a review, but here I am.
