Good service. Competent staff.

Very happy with the service received from the staff. Ideal location with less then 5 minutes walk from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia Mosque. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Pleasant hotel located on a quiet street, with the rear facing rooms looking onto trees and what appear to be Byzantine-era walls, but still very close to the center of Sultanahmet and lots of local restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. Despite the hotel's name, it is not an old building. Design wise, it seems to be three formerly separate properties now linked at ground level but each still with its own staircase to upper floors. This means there are a wide variety of room sizes and shapes in the hotel and a resulting unpredictability about what you will be given. There are no lifts. Rooms are clean and the breakfasts good, but avoid booking or being given the ground floor double room - minimal ventilation means it has a damp and smelly atmosphere.

Great location with a friendly staff. The breakfast is good, the room is simple but very clean.

Kind, hospitable and helpful staff, especially Mr. Savash. We stayed there two times, both were perfect. Even when we said we didn't need cleaning, they cleaned the room every day, which was very pleasant. Room with balcony facing the inner yard was great. Walkable distance to the famous Ayasofya, Cisterna Basilica, Blue Mosque and many other attractions. There are also two stores nearby, which is very convenient.

Our stay at Tashkonak Hotel was excellent. Very cordial staff who were very helpful and kind. The best thing about this hotel is its location: within 1000 meters, you would find many historical places.

The staff were all so friendly from the we helpful reception staff to the wonderful lady who walked around the breakfast area bringing us freshly cooked breakfast items as we ate. Ideal central location to see the sights - great family hotel.

It’s really close to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace and blue mosque. Walking distance to Egyptian bazaar and grand bazaar, Süleymaniye mosque. The only thing was a small room. But the breakfast and service was outstanding.

Nice & cosy hotel within the famous landmarks had a comfortable stay.
