Stayed for 4 nights while attending a wedding nearby. The room itself is basic, which seems standard for the area. The air con worked but still wasn't great at cooling the room down. However it was very clean, and we had a great view from the balcony. The pool and garden area / bar are lovely. The free shuttle bus into Sorrento was a great touch.

Great place to stay
A nice hotel away from the sorrento crowds but close enough for short walks to the town or the excellent convenient shuttle service provided by the hotel.
Me and the wife are generally happy with a clean room and good polite service and hotel caravel delivered on this.

Quiet location, great staff, not far from town
It is a 20 minute walk from Sorrento the hotel, so hardly hard work, and the hotel runs a regular minibus from about 08:45 onwards, (5 up to 11:05) and until 23:00 on the way back (5 from 20:15 to 23:00) with others throughout the day. Great fish restaurant (best of the holiday) just down the road on the seafront. The local train station is just a couple of roads over (so you get off there rather than Sorrento on arrival). Very quiet, and really great staff - very friendly and helpful. On the first day I wondered whether we were too far out, but the walk is easy and the bus regular. Just around the corner from Sant Agnello's small centre (so a wine bar, supermarkets, newsagents etc). I'm sure the more expensive hotels might heat their pool and would have more fancy fittings and décor, but it was great for the price.

Paying for Location
The location was ideal, with a shuttle service to the main square. Walking from the square to the hotel is about 15-20 minutes.Parking available, though in a very small, tight lot, secured on the Hotel property, though costs an extra 10 euros per day.Street parking is available, and hourly paid, parking overall is tricky.Paid for parking at the hotel, and glad we did, driving in Sorrento is very busy, and stressful.Lots to do in the area, close to the Marina for the ferry to Capri. The hotel itself was very clean, well kept, updated, and very nice for Italy. A little expensive for the quality, though you are really paying for location. You can barely see the Sea from the top Terrace, still good views.Breakfast is buffet style with many options. Staff was pleasant, when you check in or before, ask about their excursions. Some were well priced, but we did not know about them beforehand. Wish we had booked some. The Hotel entrance is on a one way street, though it does have a gated entrance to help you find it. Calling for directions was not helpful, best thing to do is look it up on googlemaps beforehand and get a feel for the close landmarks.
