We had a terrible experience at Hotel President. We had booked our family of 4, two queen beds for the night of the 28th. The reservation was made about 2 weeks earlier.
When we arrived at the hotel, we learned that they were sold out and we had been bumped to a different hotel - Hotel Penguin, right behind their location. The kids were hungry and we wanted to check in and enjoy some dinner, so we were okay with going to the other hotel.
However, at the other hotel, they were sold out too, and the room that they had available for us was a King bed. They offered to give us one rollaway for the kids, which wasn't acceptable to us.
The desk person at Hotel Penguin was apologetic, but the info that he had was only for two adults - Hotel President had messed up the transfer too. The desk person at Hotel President (Malik) was also apologetic, but there was nothing he could do either. The management wasn't answering even his calls and there was no one who could explain why we were bumped or why we could not get what we had booked. The desk person could not even cancel our booking for us since they were not authorized for it.
I had to call Hotels.com and they finally canceled our reservation. Even they could not speak with management, just the desk person, who really was trying to do everything that he could.
Will strongly recommend not staying here, as they don't seem to care much about how customers might feel about being bumped and forced to accept what they offer
