First off, at CHECK-IN, I was advised the block of 4 rooms I had reserved that were all supposed to be double KING rooms, were not available. They instead, decided that 4 double QUEEN rooms would be an acceptable substitute. How about an email or phone call and confirm this with me before the actual check in? I had no option but to accept the substitution. I HAD TO ASK FOR THE RATE TO BE REDUCED to the normal double queen room rate. It was NOT offered to me. I had to ask for a manager to see me before I checked out to get a reduction. I was told ALL of the double king room were under renovation. ALL of them? At the same time? I was there for 2 nights and never seen or heard any renovation going on. Not so much as a dumpster in the parking lot. Nothing! I do agree the place could use some renovations. Our rooms were very poorly maintained, the TV didn't work at check in and the toilet handle broke off while we were there. The bathroom was so run down I couldn't tell if it was dirty or just falling apart. I know it was a low rate, no frills motel but there should be at least a minimum standard to uphold. I am still wondering how the place got to a 7/10 rating.
