Homewood Suites was amazing. We’d stay there again.

I woke up and decided I was tired of being home so packed the kids and headed to SA for Six Flags and Legoland with an overnight stay. I have never stayed at Homewood so wasn’t sure what to expect, but was quite surprised when we opened the door and it was beautiful. The kids were able to watch tv in the living area while relaxed in the bed unbothered. The only thing I noticed is it was just a shower which works for us, but if you prefer a tub for small children make sure to read the description and book accordingly. My favorite part was the ac actually worked really well and kept the whole room cool unlike other places we’ve stayed and no matter how low I turn the air I still sweat. There is valet parking inside for $30 or off-site parking 0.2 miles away for $10/24 hr. Overall really enjoyed it and will def stay here again when we return.

Visited for two nights with my family and had a wonderful time on the Riverwalk. Staff of this hotel is very kind and helpful. The free breakfast is decent for a box of breakfast. I love that they had coffee out all day. However, the conditions of the hotel is a bit run down. Our bed was comfortable, which is very important. The dishwasher in our room looks like it had been pulled out and jammed shut again. We were not able to use it. You can tell by looking around the room that this hotel has been the same for many years. Exercise room had great state of the art equipment, I thoroughly enjoyed my workouts. The pool on the roof was open and heated. Had I known that it was heated, we would have brought our swimsuits. Nowhere on the website does it say the pool is heated. Overall this is a great place to stay for a family and the price is good for being on the Riverwalk.

The hall way where we stayed smelt like fish... they moved us rooms and the hot water was not working!

Service, location, comfort and staff was ALL exceptional. However first room had broken glass closet doors and safety was questionable for our actuve 8 yr old. We were mived to 2nd room. One TV had no signal. Maintenance repaired as requested. Use shower and despite our efforts dripped all night. Staff made up for all these little inconveniences. They were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Parking is costly at $30 per night.

All furniture is made of particle board. Pulled out a drawer and front of drawer came off.

The hotel is located close to the river walk, although not with direct access. The decor is dated, and the hotel needs remodeling. The staff was nice, and overall the stay was fine.
