Great stay. Great staff. Fabulous breakfast. I stayed at the Arabelle in Vail a few days earlier and the Sonnonalp is the clear winner. The staff are much more helpful and seem to care about providing good service. The hotel has much more character. The breakfast buffet is amazing. It’s cheaper if you put it on your room tab at the beginning though. They come and clean the rooms every day and restock coffee and leave you a couple of nice chocolate chip cookies. Arabelle did not do any of that which is shocking for a five star. We will be back.

Sonnenalp was absolutely amazing. The room was spectacular and the staff went above and beyond. Our room was immaculately maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were multiple pillow options so you could find one that worked for you. The pool area was really nice and I enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and pool. We didn’t use the spa while we were there. There are a lot of nearby restaurants to enjoy within a 5 minute walk. Parking at the hotel is $55/day in September 2026 and is valet only. There is no street parking in the area, but there is a parking garage about 5 minutes away if you don’t want to park at the hotel. Breakfast is not included in the daily rate, there are several options nearby. The hotel restaurant is convenient but a little pricey. I highly recommend this hotel and I will absolutely be returning.
