I enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance! The architecture of the building was beautiful! There were spectacular waterfront views from every window. The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. My room was neat, clean, and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

10/10 Exceptional

This hotel was a great value, and a really great location. Being steps away from the north ferry landing was such a great way to leave the car behind. Portsmouth is charming, and the view across to downtown Norfolk, especially in the evening with the firepit lit, was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was convenient and delicious. My suggestions: that the convenience store could have a larger supply of toiletry items stocked. Also, considering the length of the walk from the parking garage to the elevators, luggage carts would have been helpful to have available during check in and out.

The building itself looks very nice, and it is a great location in Portsmouth. However, my booking was cancelled, and I received no notification. I was told that there was an issue with the credit card that I entered to secure the room on this website.

6/10 Good

It is very dated. The lobby was beautiful, but the rooms were not well maintained. The bathroom door was a sliding door that kept coming off the track. I finally just took it off. The door to the room was warped and wouldn't close without a lot of effort. Check In was a nightmare! Check In was at 4pm. Finally got in after 6 pm. For the price, I wasnt impressed. I probably won't stay there again. The restaurant staff was amazing.

Was t really impressed with my meal I had the steak, asparagus & mashed potatoes. My room was so comfortable and the views were so nice and relaxing. Will definitely stay again.
