This property is exactly what we were looking for in Lucca! It was quaint and charming and completely exceeded our expectations. The only thing more remarkable then the property itself was the warm reception that we received from Debora! She made sure we were familiar with our room and pointed out all of the amenities available to us. And her restaurant recommendations were fantastic! Thank you again Debora!

First, Valentina is an exceptionally warm and welcoming person. We arrived late and had to go through a self-entry process because this isn't an inn with night staff. Her instructions were perfect and we made into our room without a hitch. The location is super. Right on Piazza San Frediano. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable and the shower was large (huge by European standards). The room was made-up every day, which is a rarity in Europe. Villa Truia was an intimate and welcoming respite for my three nights in Lucca. While I thought it would be better to stay within the walled city, Villa Tria is just outside and an lovely walk to the city centre.
The room is ample by European standards. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom had all the amenities. Monica and Manuela were so gracious and the breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. They were so accommodating and it was a superb experience.

We loved the close location to the city wall, being just outside it, but very easily accessed. It was also a great convenience to have on site parking in back.

Just had 24 hours to spend in Lucca. It was a great stay, the staff was very helpful from the moment we arrived. Franco, who took us to our room doubles as the hotel bartender at night. From a lovely, abundant breakfast spread with friendly and efficient staff to a roster of well-informed, helpful and friendly front desk/check-in staff, you are pleasantly surprised at every turn. At check in, upon seeing an elderly person with a cane in the party, we were immediately offered a room with easy access from the lift -- very thoughtful. 4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Lucca
Book for the cheapest times: Visiting Lucca on a budget is a great value for money, particularly during the period from January to March when hotel prices could drop to lower prices. A stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal to explore its historical landmarks, churches, museums, monuments, and other cultural attractions. This affordable timeframe allows travelers to enjoy walking tours, biking routes, and sightseeing that showcase the city's rich history and vibrant culture.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Lucca travelers may discover savings by exploring Deals or checking out Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window on Hotels.com, where discounted rates may be available for hotels near your travel date. You can enable email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions. With Smart Shopping on the app, you're more likely to compare hotel prices and amenities effectively, ensuring you're updated on any changes that could help you secure a last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal for your stay in a Lucca hotel. If you're interested in a unique experience, boutique hotels can provide a more personalized touch and sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that might be more budget-friendly, which could assist you in finding a more appealing rate.
Consider your location: Hotels near the city center usually tend to be pricier, but thanks to Lucca's fantastic public transportation, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that still has great access. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighborhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there’s often excellent value to be found. Opting for these alternative locations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
