When the beach is calling your name, you might want to head down to Ile de Goree Beach in the heart of Goree Island. Enjoy the sunset by the shore at Mamelles Beach and Ngor Beach.
If you like strolling among the stalls, you might want to head out to Sandaga Market in Dakar-Plateau and take in the atmosphere. Splash some more cash at Marche Tilene.
Imagine soaking up the atmosphere at Stade Leopold Senghor, a stadium in Patte d'Oie. If you think Stade Leopold Senghor is cool, you also might like Iba Mar Diop Stadium, located nearby.
If want to top up your tan, you might want to head out to Popenguine Beach, located 0.5 mi (0.7 km) from central Popenguine. Enjoy the sunset by the shore at Plage de la Somone.
We loved the Ecolodge de Simal. It's really off the beaten track (quite literally so), but once you get there, the location is wonderful: right on the water. We were there for three nights. The food was plentiful, fresh, and tasty; the free activities (like a excursion en pirogue) was wonderful; the pool is chlorinated and clean; the rooms are rustic with open air bathrooms and toilets, but comfortable; the housekeeping good; the bar/restaurant staff friendly. It's not a "luxury"...

All good except for the exchange rate issues! I pay in $ they convert in euros then charge in local currency FCFA. In the end I loose so much wit all these transactions!

The property was very peaceful. The staff was awesome. I did not speak any French but anything I needed the staff was able to provide. His free WiFi was a hit to me because I was able to use my google translator to communicate. The pool was nice and clean and the daily housekeeping was fabulous. He provided transportation to wherever I needed to go at a low surcharge price. I will be back to this property next year.

It was very relaxing place to be right above the beach with beach access. However the beach has a lot of debris from as that area is mostly used by fishermen.
I stayed 8 nights with my 2 kids. Our room was spacious with a bounce bed and 2 twin beds. The beds we comfortable. The only complaint I would have is that when the weather is hot, it is hotter in the room because it is up stairs and there is no AC. Only half of our stay was hot enough to complain about.

I really did not appreciate the fact that they did not allow my second guest and had to charge me 30000 Cfa .
I could find better next time for a hotel I like very well and their room was terrible .
I am upset even though I gave you overall excellent .
Thanks

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Senegal
Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly times to visit Senegal are in January, August, and September, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the country’s rich landmarks, history, and culture, a stay of at least 3 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to experience great value for money while discovering essential attractions, including historical sites and natural wonders. With prices possibly dropping during these months, traveling on a budget becomes an even more appealing option.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers Deals and Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window in Senegal, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels near your travel date. You could find flash sales and special last-minute promotions by enabling email alerts or push notifications. With the Smart Shopping feature available in the app, you’re more likely to see a comparison of hotel prices and amenities, including options for luxury hotels, ensuring you can secure a last-minute getaway when rooms become available or prices drop.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal for your stay in a hotel in Senegal. If you're interested in unique accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalized experience and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead to more affordable options.
Consider your location: Staying in the heart of major cities in Senegal can be incredibly convenient, as it places you close to local attractions and vibrant experiences. However, this convenience often comes with a higher price tag. In contrast, smaller towns and rural areas are more likely to be affordable, allowing travelers to stretch their budgets further. For those seeking better rates, considering accommodations outside the city center might be a practical choice, though it could require some extra travel to reach popular sites. Additionally, exploring nearby cities can uncover a wealth of attractions while providing more budget-friendly lodging options.
