Not bad. Room was roomy with high ceiling and a better than average shower. Neighborhood was a construction nightmare however. Easy walking distance from Haymarket train station and a nearby Airlink stop (through construction zone). Not too bad of a hike to Prince's St. and attractions.

Staff were friendly but the initial impression of the hotel was disappointing. My room was dominated by a four-poster bed with little space otherwise. Was nice, when we arrived was around 5.30PM, girl from reception sent us to our room, but inside we found surprise - our room wasn't clean. hat wasn't very nice, they cleaned it after we let them know! But in general it was ok.

My husband and I got the "Superior King" room for our one-night stay in Edinburgh. The room was large and comfortable. The decor was a bit dated and the bathroom could use some updating, but it met our needs. The staff was friendly. During our stay in May 2013 there was lots of street construction on the roads leading up to the hotel. Our sat nav could not figure out how to get us there because it also didn't know that a lot of the streets are now one-way. The Ritz Hotel was brilliant and a real bargain! All the staff were friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. The location was great, just a short walk to the city centre. We're already planning our next trip, and we'll staying at the Ritz :-)

I stayed the Ritz with my son for 4 nights in February. We arrived at Edinburgh Waverley station and caught a train to Haymarket Station- there were lifts at both stations and the hotel was only a 5 minute walk from Haymarket Station. Our room was quite big and very comfortable and there were pubs and restaurants close to the hotel.

Das Hotel hat keinen Aufzug. Durch die Dauer-Baustelle schlecht zugängig. Das Frühstück (schlechte Qualität) wird in einem Kellerraum serviert. Als Kaffee nur heisses Wasser mit Nescafe angeboten. Heisses Wasser zum Duschen ist nur temporär vorhanden.

Nous avons dormi 4 nuits dans cet hotel fuscia bien située en ville, à 20 minutes à pieds de presque tout, à côté de la gare de Haymarket, super pour aller à Glasgow et en plein sur la ligne de bus Airlink (aéroport). Par contre, gros problème d'insonorisation... et propreté variable... Mais, j'y retournerais.
