It started with a less than impressive lobby and went down hill from there. No elevator. The safe didn't work in the room. The air conditioner started spewing the condensation after 15 min of use (onto the room floor). I had to use the bucket from the bathroom to catch it. The TV didn't work. The hotel was excellent. The staff was superior. Even though we only had three days we could have spent two weeks just exploring the neighborhood. Many of the best rated restaurants were within a few blocks of this hotel. But this hotel was so comfortable that we could have just stayed on-site and enjoyed the relaxing environment.

Hotel Loreto was a great place to stay from beginning to end. It is clean, and the furnishings seemed very new. The balcony was a wonderful plus. The staff was helpful and even offered to let us shower after we had checked out and were waiting to go to the airport.

The most important thing for me in a hotel room is the ability to sleep. The lack of air conditioning made the room too hot for me to be able to do that. My room didn't have a window and instead had a door which opened into a common balcony so I could not leave it open (it was cooler outside than in my room). Attractive facility conveniently located between the tourist sights of Centro and the bars and restaurants of Bellavista. I just walked.
