Hotel Porto Roca

Excellent hotel in Montorosso. High on top of a rock outcropping with excellent views. Expensive hotel but worth the money. The restaurant was excellent. Rooms comfortable, clean and the ocean views from the terrace were the best.

Although we were missed to be picked up and having to drag our luggage up a very long steep hill the ocean view from our room was fabulous and we quickly forgave the over sight. The hotel couldn't have a better location - right on the top of a hill overlooking the ocean and Monterosso BUT the rooms are very dated, the beds are not too comfortable and the front lobby people were a little rude (NOT all of them, just a couple of the front desk people) - Actually the guys that drive you up and down the hill when checking in/out […] couldn't have been nicer. My suggestion for this hotel: invest in customer service training and bring your rooms out of the 70's. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Porto Roca hotel. Nestled on the cliff, overlooking the sea, there is nothing more romantic to ask for...Our room was a little small, but it came with a huge terrace, so we couldn't complain. My son (12) and I visited cinque terre in August 2012 for 4 days and stayed at the Porto Roca hotel. For sure, the entire 5T experience was fantastic and the best part of our trip when compared to other segments, Rome an Venice. We enjoyed the PR immensely. The hotel, although a bit dated , made up for it due to larger than life persona. The PR will […] not wrap you in spa like luxury... But who cares! The staff, the views ( unbelievable ) and inherent charm make the PR perhaps the best place to stay in 5T. A rather steep walk is required to get to the hotel from town. Om man skall bo i Monterosso så är det på Porto Rocca. Underbar utsikt och bra restaurang. Nu bygger dom en pool också. Då blir detta hotell en oas för själen.
