ロンドンのホテルがコンチネンタルだったので、フルブレクファストはとてもうれしかった。立地もよいし、快適に過ごすことができた。

Buchanan Bus Station から少し遠いし坂道なので、スーツケースをひっぱるのが大変ですが、サービスも問題なく朝ご飯もおいしいです。

Glasgow Central 駅のすぐそば。駅と同じ敷地内?のように感じました。しかし、電車の音は全く聞こえず、快適でした。ベッドも快適で羽根布団で枕も羽根枕とパンヤ(綿?)の二種類が置いてありました。天井が高く部屋がひろく感じました。バスルームも広くて、高級ホテルに泊まった、という感じでした。新聞を頼んだのですが、部屋に届かず、チェックアウトの時にその話をしたら、新聞を裏から持ってきてくれました。今までいろいろなホテルに泊まりましたが、お気に入りのホテルになりました。

ホテルのあるカレンダーという町は、数百メートルの1本のメインストリートと周辺に住宅地が点在する小さな町。しかし、通りの西側には公園を伴った静かな川、東側には散策もできる山があり、更には車で10～15分走れば湖もある素敵な所でした。2泊滞在しました。正直、豪華とかゴージャサスといった表現が当てはまるホテル、町、町周辺ではありませんでしたが。非常に心地の好い時間が過ごせました。ホテルについて1つ、ホテル内にある唯一のシンプルでクラシックなエレベーターにはちょっとしたサプライズが… 私は気に入りました。

This is a very comfortable B&B situated a short distance from the centre of Stirling. The room was clean and the bathroom of an adequate size with good toiletries. The cooked breakfast was excellent.
