新しいだけあって部屋は大変キレイでした。ウェスティン系列のホテルだけあってデザインも簡素ながらデザイナーズホテルの雰囲気を醸し出しています。キッチン付なのは知っていましたが下手なワンルームマンションよりも立派で大きな冷蔵庫に電子レンジ、食洗機までついており、鍋や食器もすべて揃っていて、長期滞在には助かります。簡単ですがフリーの朝食が一階で振る舞われ、タダにしては十分。いつもNYに泊まるときは外のデリなどを利用していたが、今回は滞在中すべてホテルで済ませることができ時間的にも助かりました。プラス夕方からハッピーアワーとしてビールやワインと簡単なツマミまでフリーでした。（ボストンビールでしたが大変おいしいビールでした）ベットも大きく部屋もNYのホテルにしては、そこそこ広かったです。残念なのは最終 […] 日の2日間、温水設備の不良でお湯が出ない時間帯があり不便したこと、バスタブがなかったことがマイナス点です。それ以外はこの値段であればパーフェクトだと思います。十分、人に勧められるホテルです。 もっと読む

2011年12月第一週に４泊しました。 前提として、私はＮＹ滞在が5度目、留学もしていたので英語も話せます。このレビューは一般的な日本人の方で個人旅行される方向けのレビューとしてご参考になれば幸いです。 一昨年はウィンダム ガーデン ホテル タイムズ スクエア サウス、昨年はタイムズスクエアにあるインターコンチネンタル - ニューヨーク タイムズ スクエアに宿泊しました。 ＜総合評価＞ ４。ただし、近隣の環境変化によっては２まで落ちる可能性あり。 ＜レビュー＞ スターウッド（ウエスティン・シェラトン系）が展開している小さなビジネスホテル。いろいろな面で合理的・機能的なところは、ホテルを安く上げたいけど最低限のサービスを求める旅行者にはおススメ。何より朝食サービスの充実さは◎。ホテルの近 […] 隣はもともと治安の悪い地域でしかもホテルに対しての悪質な抗議（いやがらせ）があったりするので、夜はホテルの前から8アベニューまでの20メートルは足元や手荷物に気をつけながら足早に通り過ぎた方が良いです。 ビュッフェスタイルの朝食は、空港のファーストクラスラウンジ並。デニッシュも６種類、食パンやベーグルなどは焼けるし、フルーツ・ヨーグルト・シリアル三種類・フレンチトースト・ジュースも４種類と充実（サラダがあれば満点）　6：30～確か10：00くらいまで　土日は７時からオープン。7時半以降は混むのでできるだけ早い時間に行くのをおススメします。6時半ならゆったりできます。ちなみに、コーヒーは朝食後も一日中飲み放題なのでお得。朝食時にお水やジュースをペットボトルに入れておけばこれまたお得です。 ホテル内は、ロビーや部屋の中どこでも無料Wifiが利用できます。部屋番号とラストネームでログイン。速度も早いしこれはかなり便利です。しかも一階にはＰＣが４台。最新のiMacですが、ウインドウズもインストールされていてしかも日本語表示・入力にも対応。プリンターもあるしかなりの充実です。ビジネスセンターもあるようですが利用はしませんでした。 ホテルは広くありませんが、コンパクト。 一階はロビー（朝は朝食が並んでいます）、ラウンジ（テレビやソファー、ＰＣがあります）、グリーンハウス（朝食後からチェックインの時間までは荷物置き場で閉鎖）の３つのエリアですが、清掃されていてとても気持ちのよい空間です。朝食のあとロビーをきれいに清掃している姿を見て日本人的にはかなり好印象。 スタッフの対応は普通。日本語も話せませんし、日本人もいません。サービスじたいは高級ホテルでもこんなもんです。どこのホテルでもその個人次第なので、この人対応よさそうだなという人を見つけたら次の頼みごともその方にお願いすると良いです。電話ではなくフロントで頼めば片言の英語でもちゃんと対応してくれます。ポイントは名札を見てサンキューのあとにファーストネームをつけてあげることです。 部屋は清潔でコンパクトにまとまっています。 バスタブはありませんのでお風呂に入りたい日本人の方は要注意。キッチンがあるのはびっくり。ベッドもヘブンリーベッドだし普通に快適です。ただし、エレベーター三基にはさまれた部屋があり、こんな設計ありえるの？？といった感じです。（エレベーターが４つあると思いきや左から２番目は部屋・・・）この部屋には絶対泊まりたくありません。 立地としては、地下鉄の駅まで徒歩１分。タイムズスクエアにも徒歩圏内。ただししつこいようですが、ホテル近隣の環境はよくありません。間違っても夜ホテル周辺を散策しようとせずすぐに８アベに出れば問題ありません。 これはいつもではないと信じたいですがホテルから8アベまでの２０メートルはごみの山で汚物も毎日あり足元注意でした。。。 もっと読む

周囲の環境はあまりよくないが、駅やタイムズスクエアまで歩いてすぐという利便性は最高。 部屋も冷蔵庫やレンジなどキッチンが充実していてきれいです。 1階ロビーにはいつもコーヒーがあり、夕方には軽食、つまみにビール、ワインがタダで提供されるというサービスまで！ ただ、私は部屋に化粧ポーチを忘れてきてしまったのですが、結局出てきませんでした。それが残念。 まあ自分が忘れたのがいけないのだし、フロントのサービスも悪くはなかったので、全体としてはおすすめできます。

GWにダブルのお部屋に４泊しました。 調理器具からIHヒーター、電子レンジ、大きい冷蔵庫、食器、 食器洗浄機などもついていて ＮＹで暮らす気分も味わえました。 ロビーにはコーヒー紅茶などがあって いつでもお部屋に持っていて飲めるのが 気に行っていました。 地下鉄の駅も徒歩１分、 タイムズスクエアも歩いて５分など どこにいくにもとにかく便利。 デリやピザ、カフェもたくさんあって 食べ物にも困りません。 豪華ではないけれど キレイで機能的でシンプルなホテルで 次回ＮＹに行く時はまた泊まりたいです。

elevators were a problem between 0800 and 0930 when many guests trying to get out. people very friendly and helpful. would stay there again

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little small but have everything you need. Extremely well located for Time Square and Macy's. Great having a dishwasher in your room. Your room is constantly top up with coffee. Housekeeping is also non invasive.

Great view from the 36th floor, including the Empire State Bldg. The room had everything we needed and was clean; looked like the website photo. We arrived at 4 am and had no problems checking in. The hotel is great- I'd stay again in a heartbeat. Staff is friendly and professional. Just don't go strolling around for a quaint restaurant- nothing but chain food up there.....

Loved the room, loved the free internet, loved the happy hour. Extremely helpful staff. Walking distance to Times Square.

It was an excellent experience. The registration desk is small and the lobby is somewhat frayed. However, the room was large and excellently maintained. The view of the city was stunning. The roof top deck is great. The breakfast was good, as was the wine hour.

I enjoyed every minute of my stay at The Element Hotel. The staff is super-terrific! The room was lovely and the view was spectacular! Breakfast was included and they served complimentary beer and wine in the early evening from Monday to Thursday. Great value for the price!

This spot in Times Square (close to the E line and 8th Ave) is a great hub to start exploring Manhattan. Hotel is very clean and service is very good!

Great hotel! You can't go wrong here being just a couple blocks from the heart of Times Square. The staff were super friendly. Rooms were a bit small but this is typical for New York. I can't say enough good things about this hotel ! The room was perfect. Big bathroom, extremely comfortable bed and pillows. The room had a desk and as a huge bonus a kitchenette! The Element Hotel in west 39th street is located in a quiet street right in the centre of Manhattan. It is a stone's throw away from Times Square and very close to Penn Station, The Empire State Building sub-way stations and all other mid-town attractions. HUGE* by NYC standards. This hotel is a block from the subway and was a fantastic value given the size, amenities (including fully stocked kitchenette) and feel. Fuggidabout rude New Yorkers - none of them work at this hotel. The service staff was wonderful - kind, helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and very efficiently laid out. We loved the gleaming white bedding and the two head shower. We would stay here again! And included breakfast and wifi: a great bargain.

I have stayed in nyc twice before stayin here. I stayed in a well known hotel and was quite unhappy. The Element made our time in nyc sooo much better. I will never stay anywhere else in nyc besides here. Lovely clean room(cleaned daily)...big bed., lovely sheets..flat screen tv and massive shower. One block from times square its at the centre OF EVERYTHING! […] We checked-in in appox 30secs! The staff are the MOST friendly, professional and kindest I'VE EVER experienced and I've travelled many places all over the world. They go above and beyond their job duties to ensure your stay is a great one... and helped my friend and I on many quiries we had and did so with such grace and willingness. Free breakfast (buffet) is included in the price and free tea/coffee all day along with free wi-fi, comp area and gym!! I would HIGHLY recommend ANYONE to stay here. My only negative is it doesnt have room service...but seriously..you're in nyc walk ten sec's and you can find any food restaurant. (Or bring food back and cook it in your kitchen!) Great, clean, comfortable hotel! This fairly new hotel was a welcome retreat after sightseeing each day. The rooms were very nice and clean and included a kitchenette. It's within 3 blocks of Times Sq and a block from the Subway. We will definitely stay here again when we return!

Very friendy staff, very comfortable bed, room serviced very well. The lobby area is quite small and area is quite hectic in the morning due to this. They had issues with the lifts when we were there. On the whole though a very enjoyable stay due to a very nice comfortable room and very friendly staff. I would definitely stay again.

with 40 floors you need more then 3 elevators . also the elevators are shared with the housekeeping and maintenance staff which put you down to 2 elevators for the guest.i waited a long time most of the time for the elevators...which is unexceptable. if i wasn't 24 floors up i would of taken the stairs....this issue needs to be addressed...everything […] else was great もっと読む

Good hotel, great location, but slow elevators at peak time in the morning.

The room was amazing, and the shower was big and comfortable, which is a rare thing especially in NY. The stuff was very nice and helpful. I'll definitely come back!

I stayed at this hotel for business so the proximity to Times Square wasn't a factor for me, but it is just around the corner making it convenient for tourists. The staff was very warm and helpful, and helped to enrich the stay. I am a frequent traveler and have used Hotels.com in the past, but this hotel was a bad experience from beginning to end. First, there was a 10 minute wait just to get to my hotel room, then no hot water, and when I woke up in the morning, a huge rash on my back and arms. I was very disappointed that there was no music in my guest room. There was an audio port that could be used to hook up an IPOD to the AV system that ran to the TV; however, I was told that the hotel does not supply the audio cable that would have allowed me to hook up my IPOD and play music. I also was extremely aggravated that the card key door locks […] did not work properly. Instead of agreeing that the locks needed to be fixed, the 3 different staff persons who I spoke with on 3 different occasions gave me the same "canned" response to the effect that the key cards are very sensitive. After having them replace the key card, I went directly to the room (without putting key anywhere near cell phone or credit cards) and each time it would take me about 5 minutes to get the key to work to open the door!!! It has been a long time since we have stayed at a hotel that was as friendly and helpful as the Element NY Times Square! Also the location was great.

I stayed in the King studio and thought it was a great room. Good view, clean, nice little kitchen, confortable bed and nice bathroom. Only gripe is that they take 50 dollars out of your account and it takes 10 business days for them to put it back in..

The rooms are comfy and well laid out. It's great to have a full sized fridge. They are nice and clean and new. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in better condition than a lot of places that I have stayed at in NYC. The location is great - you can walk to pretty much everything in mid-town. However, I probably won't stay […] here again. I found the hotel too crowded. There are only 3 small elevators (about the size of your average wheelchair accessible toilet) for a 40 floor hotel that probably has about 400 rooms. So that means waiting about 5 minutes just for an elevator to arrive, and when it does, it's either full when it gets there or it is by the time you get off. You also get to stop at every single floor on the way up or down regardless of the time of day. The breakfast downstairs is great, but it's like a feeding frenzy, nowhere to sit, anxious pushy people breathing over your toast apparently in fear that the food will run out! ALWAYS a line at the front desk. So... it was basically like a *really* nice hostel in a lot of ways. I was also disappointed that they used disposable plates/ plastic cutlery etc for the breaksfast, as one of the selling points for me was the hotel's "environmental focus". I had the misfortune of staying at this hotel whilst they were having a major plumbing/water crisis. No hot water the first day, no water at all the second day. Which meant no shower for 2 days. So a bit of a disaster, but not at all the hotel's fault. They did a great job in a terrible situation. They also compensated me fairly for the inconvenience. The only criticism I have for how they handled this situation is that they could have done a better job in communicating what the problem was, when it was going to be fixed, etc. もっと読む
