I had read the previous reviews about this hotel and it was rated well. I have to say that this is one of the nastiest hotels I've stayed at. The carpet was tacky, the room smelled musty, and I refused to use their shower because the towels smelled horrible. The bed wasn't comfortable, there wasn't a blanket on the bed, the pillows were flat, and the […] sheets didn't smell clean. Also, there was evidence that a drink had been dropped in front of the bathroom door and splashed up on it, wasn't cleaned up. May be why the carpet felt sticky and tacky. Several reviews rated this hotel harshly. You can tell that the hotel is older and I have no problem with that. The clerk and cleaning ladies were very nice. The room was VERY large and did not smell of cigarette smoke (neither did the linens). The only thing I wish was on their site was that your room has no dishes, silverware or pans. Crystal Suite Hotel was about 30 minutes away from Kemah Boardwalk. I enjoyed my stay there it was very quite. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Good option for people visiting Galveston. Much more hotel for the money off-island than on. Rooms were spacious and well furnished. I especially enjoyed the clouds painted on the ceiling. A primary reason for our stay was so that the kids could swim in an indoor pool. Turned out that the pool was very cold, so the kids stayed in only about 5 minutes. There was no one at the counter when we arrived to check in, and it took several minutes for someone to come to the desk. Our room was decorated nicely, but the sheets were scratchy. The hot tub was filled with bubbly cold water, and we were told maintenance had been called, but it would be the next morning before the hot tub would be repaired. When we were checked into the hotel the lady at the desk was very friendly. We ask her about the pool, the area, etc. and she was very friendly. Later when we came down to use the pool we found that it was locked. We went to the front desk to ask her about unlocking the pool area for us. She seemed to get very upset because it was like we were bothering […] her. She huffed and puffed the entire walk over to the pool and while she was unlocking the door for us. Later that evening when we were getting ready for bed we noticed that the bed only had a sheet and a bedspread on it. And the room was very cold (without the AC running) we went down to the front desk and ask if we could have a blanket and was advised that they didn't have any. The hotel was nice but the service was not good at all. Cameras dont leave your sight and breakfast was toast and cereal only. Very limited too. Only three towels in room were provided, I asked for one more and employee refused to give me one until the next day, after paying for a room for four. Very unsatisfied and not recommended.

Very pleased with our rooms and the how quiet it was at night. I would recommend this hotel to others.

I felt comfortable in this hotel. I am a "germ freak", but I actually slept on their sheets. The hotel was clean. There was an indoor pool that looked clean, but I didn't get to use it. I only have two complaints: 1. the continental breakfast was way too early (5am-8am), 2, turns out the breakfast is not worth getting up for anyhow. This was very nice and a good price would recommend this to anyone who is staying at the beach in Galveston to stay here. Prices were very good for the rooms,small suites with fridge stove and microwave.Only takes roughly 15 mins from Seawall and 61rst in Galveston. rooms in galveston were very overprice for what you got.

Greeted by a very friendly and helpful female desk clerk. Room was bigger than we thought and centrally located to Galvestom, Kemah and Gulf Greyhound Park. Inside pool was very nice. Older remodeled hotel. Could tell used to be allow smoking. Also saw waterbug in bathroom. Customer Service people nice but over priced. You shouldn't pay more than $65 ever.

Great place to stay in preparation for my daughter's wedding. Two points I would like to point out to management - we weren't able to use the pool or whirlpool because we weren't at the hotel between the hours of 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Also, the breakfast was a little plain and ended very early - 8 a.m. We would have enjoyed a little something more like […] yogurt. This hotel was located near a highway intersection with good access to both roads. Just a short drive to fast food and minor local restaraunts. This is a great place to stay. It is very clean, the rates are the best in that area.Every time that I go home, I will stay there.

This hotel was easy to find. The staff wasn't overly friendly. I asked for extra blankets and was told that they didn't have blankets because of the warm climate. The hot tub was broken and the pool was very small. You get what you pay for. The good thing is that it is very close to Galveston.

I did not expect too much from this hotel, especially since it was a last resort hotel for me, but I have to admit that when I checked in I was very pleased. The service was good, the room and furniture were good quality (real wood bedposts), everything was clean. The only issue I had was that they provided a stove, but no pots or pans to cook with. […] Other than that everything was great! The best part was the location. The hotel in smack dab in the middle of Kema and Galveston. If you leave the Hotel and go Left your are LITERALLY 10 min away from Kema! If you leave and turn right you are LITERALLY 10 min away from Galveston. Plus there is a mall and good restaurants nearby. The price was good. Room was nice and clean. Location was good.

The hotel was very conveniently placed right between our destination points Galveston and kemah (10) min to each. The reason we chose this hotel is cause we saw it had a indoor pool. We thought great even though its 65 outside we can still swim... Wrong!!!. The pool area was sealed off from the rest of the lobby but the ventilation for the room was […] the windows in the room being open. great why would we want the pool warmer than the weather outside. crazy huh? Anyway went to jump in the hottub and turned on the jets. The water didn't feel much warmer than the room but the main problem was that sitting on the hottub side I repeat SIDE before getting in, the chlorine vapors were strong enough to burn your eyes. My husband and I stayed here a couple of nights while on vacation. Good location to visit both Galveston and NASA. The hotel was maintained to a high standard. I'm in a band that travels every weekend or more. We often stay at 2 star or less hotels. This hotel was a 2 star on Hotels.com but was so much nicer. Friendly staff, big rooms, with fridge, oven and microwave....2 queen beds, with a love seat, coffee table and a writing desk. I'd go back today i was in Texas City again!
