location and staff is very good but the hotel management needs to maintain hotel a bit better, The towels provided were not clean,

This hotel is far from what it claims to be. We arrived and were shown to a dirty and smelly room with filthy hand marks all over the walls. The water ran brown and there was no hot water. We asked to change and were taken to the room next door which was cleaner, but had the same lack of hot water. We spoke to the management who shouted rudely at the […] extremely helpful (but helpless) porters who were battling against a badly managed hotel. The manager was abrupt and simply shouted at the porters. After about 40 minutes, the water ran tepid - this was all they could manage. We stayed in the room that night. In the morning, the water was cold and dirty again, so we asked the management to move rooms - they offered us a larger room which we took, but the same problem with the hot water remained. On themorning of the second day we put some laundry in to be washed and were assured it would be dry by the afternoon (it was sunny all day, except for a torrential downpour at about 3pm). At 7pm we asked if our washing was done, and they tried to give us back wet washing. We asked if we could wait until the morning after an assurance it would be dry. By the morning it was still wet and they tried to charge us R600 - they held no record of how many items we had submitted. We refused to pay, but as a coach to Ooty was waiting for us we had to settle for R300! Lastly, breakfast is awful - don't bother. Hotel was ok , rooftop restaurant needs a spruce up Rooms were decent value for money.The best thing about this hotel is it's position.

Being within site of the Mysore Palace and walking distance to the market and many good restaurants the location was great. Our room was adequate but there was a considerable amount of mould in the bathroom. We were there 3 nights and never did get the room cleaned. Staff were friendly but ineffiecent.

The Viceroy is a decent budget hotel, conveniently located close to the Mysore Palace and City centre, while being away from city noise and traffic. The room charges (incl extra person charges) are only appropriate given its location, as it is a 2 star budget hotel otherwise. Decent Hotel. Food is good. Room service is good. However , if you don;t leave your keys at the reception, rooms won't be cleaned. Very close to Mysore Palace(walking distance)

Sabanas sucias,toallas humedas( en las nuevas),habitacion nada que ver con lo que anucia su web.y de vistas al palacio del maraja...nada de nada,la foto de la web es un montaje con postales que venden por las calles,existen mejores hoteles en la misma calle y a mejor precio.solo recomendable para mochileros.el. desayuno patetico...

Bien que très bien situé, à deux pas du palais, l'hôtel est très bruyant car les fenêtres sont très mal isolées. A cinq heures du matin, appel à la prière par la mosquée qui est juste derrière, et surtout, des draps pas propres du tout. Par contre les chambres sont grandes et en bon état et le restaurant est très correct.

HAD A BEAUTIFUL 7 DAYS STAY AT THE VICEROY HOTEL. CLEAN ROOMS NICE PERSONEL FOR ROOMSERVICE AND AT THE RECEPTION AND IN THE RESTAURANT. GOOD BREAKFAST WITH FRESH FRUITS. CAN RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS. BEST LOCATION CLOSE TO THE PALACE AND SHOPPING ALSO MANY OTHER RESTAURANTS AROUND. WILL STAY THERE AGAIN FOR MY NEXT STAY IN MYSORE

HAD A BEAUTIFUL STAY AT THE VICEROY HOTEL SERVICE FROM ALL MEMBERS JUST GREAT. LOCATION VERY CENTRAL. GREAT ROOMS WITH AC SOME WITH FRIGIDAIRE. WARM WATHER ONLY IN THE MORNING BETTER WOULD BE THE WHOLE DAY. WILL STAY THERE AGAIN FOR MY NEXT VISIT
